From what I understand something went to congress today about letting companies like Verizon and AT&T "censor" your internet if you have it through them, ultimately meaning they can block whatever sites and downloads they want.
That.. doesn't sound good.

If it is, then I forsee lots of companies doing this.
Heaven forbid Time Warner be able to block what I get on.
im also a little surprised that this journal has been up for 14 hours as of now and nobody has come ranting and cursing about how 'uneducated and wrong' this is..
not that it is! just that there's always one person in these kinds of journals who has to link a million articles where they bend the writing to their opinion and insult anyone who thinks otherwise.
I was looking forward to seeing the traditional know it all tech guy get shot down. Ah well.
I should look into this. Could be a good read.
It's a little sad that we're getting to the point where we're openly admitting to not being a democracy anymore.
You have internet through AT&T? Well there goes all the competitors websites. Any website that sponsors any other competitors are gone too. It will be all about making money, just like it's always been.
