While I'm personally not that much into adoptables in general, I really dislike the ones where they use the same base image and just do a different color palette / marking pattern / etc. It seems like a really quick, low effort attempt at making money to me.
The two character designs that I did buy were both uniquely created (probably helps that both were initially not intended to be sold) and I'm quite happy with them.

That is what this one particular person does and it pisses me off...

also when I do adopts I make them their own stand alone character, with their own unique personality and design

Ugh, yeah that sucks. Explains why they can give them away so cheap too.
Can't really understand why people seem to be so much into these - I'd prefer a well designed character over some loveless "mass-produced" adoptables anyday.
