Yeah, it's pretty good. It's a couple steps below professional, but still toward the top end of consumer grade. It's what's called a mirrorless compact system, which makes it a lot lighter than a SLR (single lens reflex, which uses a mirror and prism). Covers all my needs except waterproof, but most don't have that without a special case.

I'm in SW Michigan, but grew up in Indiana. SO damned glad to be out of that shithole state, lol. So far, despite getting a good camera, I've very much a novice. Hoping to learn a lot over the summer, though.

Dude its summer time start hitting the forest and lakes you have in abundance. I will be visiting Michigan aseveral times this year. And like you I really don't like this state
