Skipping to Weasyl

a!
And no. I am not leaving 'teh fa 5eva'.
https://www.weasyl.com/~egkangaroo Here is that drongo's account!
This is probably a terrible time to announce that I created an account on Weasyl, given the circumstances, but I did.
So, yes, I am well aware of the recent issues regarding a certain individual that is causing much furry drama and an apparent mass exodus from FA to Weasyl, and I am just sitting here thinking about whether or not it is important that I care about who codes the website that I use.
I think the answer is quite plain that I should care what's going on in the community that I am a part of, because it reflects on me just like everybody else if bad things happen. However, much like everyone else, I don't know the full story, so I am not going to jump to any conclusions as to who is guilty of what.
If you're generally interested in knowing what is going on in your own community, feel free to read other people's journals or something. There's like tonnes of them out there. I just want to make art and not feel bad because I am doing that on a dodgy website, and I just feel sorry that so much grief has been caused.
I'll probably still be using both FA and Weasyl, so I am not going to dramatically wave goodbye and hop into the sunset or...something. I'm still figuring out how the site works and all, and I'll see if I can't post some of my older works on there. And if I am not opening an account there in protest for the things that are going on, then still it's probably a good idea to just have an escape route if there is any proof behind the whole ordeal. And moreover, I am still just a writer who would like to expand his audience. Weasyl means a new audience. That's also important.
Not so long, not farewell, not auf wiedersehen, not goodbye
Sorry for the lack of total outrage.
