I figured that I would post this journal so that I could both bump that KrisPup raffle thing off my main page and send out a message of generalized gratitude to the furry community as a whole.

I think it may be safe to admit that some crazy shit goes down in our tightly-knit community, this week's drama/uproar/possible criminal behavior being a prime example of such, but this does not mean that some truly amazing things do not take place amongst the diverse population of the Furry Fandom.

Furries all over the world create wonderful works of art, engage in activities in their normal life that keep the world spinning, work together to contribute to charity and generally so all sorts of awesome shit all the time.

But, it is an aspect of the furry state of mind that has really had a profound effect on me as of late. Furs have this truly unique and immense openness for those individuals who don't fit into what one would call the normal sexual paradigm. Not only can one find a warm welcome for those who fit in the straight/LGBT mold, but also for those folks who sit outside and between those established categories. Pansexual, asexual, polyamorous, gender-queer; all these folk are welcomed with equal readiness and ease.

Where can an individual like me find a place where he can stop hiding those little bits of himself?

Well, I know that I can find it here. That is a good start.
