No seriously it happened. Its the only mess up they've had but its funny because...its a PR thing. The one area that EVERYONE agrees FA is bad at...and its the first and only area Weasyl makes a mistake in. The irony of it is hilarious if you ask me.

The site actually admitted that it only got advertised as a furry site because most of the people on staff identify as furries, it wasn't the sites aim to be a furry site, they wanted to be an art site (more DA rather than FA really).

Drama happened, Zaush posted to set things straight, I'm still confused as to what exactly this was all about, but at this point, I don't care anymore. I need booze. And I really hope 2 Gryphon makes a rant about this. I think it would be funny to hear his take on it.

Hey Fisk I've been hearing from everyone I watch about this, they mention something happened on FA and then advertise another site that they use. What happened on FA?

They don't like FA anymore because the guy who was chosen to program the new project Phoenix has been falsely accused of rape. All the dramafurs are tearing their balls off with rage over this because they don't want a rapist programming their art site. It's all speculation and false rumors at this point, and nobody should give half a damn anyway because it doesn't concern them.

Jeez, thats a pretty serious serious accusation. I hope it isn't true. I feel that this site tends to attract alot of drama, i wonder why . . .

It's all he-said-she-said at this point. Zaush made his case, and even provided links to chatlogs of conversations with Ferality, but people will think what they want to think. He may have had sex with her, but the chat logs proved she wanted it at the time. She seemed to think it was rape just because she regretted it after the fact.

The people who are threatening to leave FA (if you could call it threatening) are doing so because they are pissed at the FA admins for letting Zaush write the new site code instead of banning him. I say they should have let him. FurAffinity is a mess codewise.

It's also been said that he left the fandom completely due to the nuclear fallout. I don't believe that, but he abandoned his twitter account (where links to the chat logs were posted) and hasn't been active anywhere since then. I hope he comes back.

Much like you, Fisk, I have no intention of leaving FurAffinity either, though I wish the idiots who are posting all the journals/rants/whinefests about "leaving" would grow up, and stop acting like a bunch of immature little two year old children who are throwing a temper tantrum, because they couldn't get their way. The people posting those are brainless idiots who wouldn't know their own assses from a hole in the ground, that's why they can't put it all together, and FINALLY see the big picture of the whole thing like the rest of us rational, sane, logical thinking Furries.

I'd call them all dingleberries, buuuuut....then that would be an insult to dingleberries.

I need to go beef up my Weasyl account and get into the habit of following my favorite artists over there. I'm very much a person of habit and am quite habituated to FA in my methods of tracking my favorite artists, but FA has too many problems to ignore.
