Personally, I'm pulling away from relying so heavily on FA because it's been run poorly for years with a fucking awful codebase that has only lasted this long by throwing more and more excessive amounts of hardware at what is, fundamentally, a software problem. Between letting a known dog fucker on staff (Chase) and letting Zaush on staff (semantics aside, he's coding the fucking website redesign: He's staff) there's more reason than ever to doubt the choices behind staffing the website and the staff themselves.

The recent drama, if you want to simplify it to that, is merely the latest in many, many reasons to consider other options. There's also a plug-in for Chrome that makes it easy as hell to re-upload things from FA/DA/IB to Weasyl, filling in everything but 3 or so settings for you.

Well well well, it was only a matter of time till something like this is about to come along the way, but you just made me curious, so if I may ask you something: Can you as well copy paste the description to each one of the submission to the so called plugin by each? Also if not, then I bet you'd piss an amount of blood while you get your uploads done for the day from about ...say... 2011 or so. I bet that would be quite tedious for you, wouldn't it?

The plug in re-uploads the image, direct from FA, pulls the tags, pulls the title, and pulls the description text (you'd need to change the formatting for linking to other accounts, but that's fairly simple). What it does not do is set the folder (if any), the image type (digital, traditional, etc), or the rating. All you do is click a little icon in the address bar when on an FA submission and it'll open a new tab with a Weasyl submission page and all that filled out. I used it myself and found it as painless as anything could possibly be, honestly.

Also: I use both FA and Weasyl and i have no problem doing so.

I didn't know you were on SF (I'm not) but I will look for you there... ^v^ ... Also, I agree that you need not have to duplicate or port all same things to every site... Starting from this point onward is easier and less of a grind for the artist.. and since (as you note) so much you show is sharing free views of your hard work, then making that the easiest for you is the best solution.
I will probably stay here too, unless it really implodes and/or becomes unusable (like mySpace.com did) ... *wingfuzzlehugs*

FA breaks an awful lot, but on the whole I'm used to the place. The ongoing drama I just ignore.
