I did a lot of thinking over the past few days and I finally came to a conclusion that I'm no longer comfortable with supporting FA. I also found that I don't want to move my entire gallery but rather maybe pick from where I stand now...yeah, it's because I don't really want to delete my older stuff from here, I admit. I'm not terribly active online these days so I'm sure that my departure is not that big of a deal to begin with, but I feel the need to let people know anyway.
On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that I will have to rely on commissions to get by pretty soon as things are not looking too promising at work and - as shallow as it seems, given the circumstances - I'm scared that I won't be able to find people willing to pay for my work outside of FA. I'm pretty torn about the whole thing.
I'm not deleting my gallery for the time being (I doubt I will, honestly), but I will certainly limit my activity around here (as if I was sooo active, right?). Maybe I will just keep FA as a commission archive, I don't know. As for my personal stuff, I want to make Weasyl my main gallery. I will also start using DA again, because why not, I guess. And I also have tumblr, so there's that. Anyway, here's where you can find me:

If one good thing came out of this mess it's that I'm finding a bunch of artists that I love have tumblrs where I personally feel it's easier to actually see their stuff as it doesn't have the horrible loading times that FA has, and it shows everything in good resolution right from the start!
To be quite frank, FA's PR and just the general atmosphere of the site has been getting on my nerves for quite some time now, so the recent drama (and I don't mean the "rumours"- I was personally put off by the admin response to the whole thing a lot more) is not so much the reason for leaving, it just helped me finally decide on what I want to do. It was a bit difficult because I've been here for 9 years now, and I actually enjoy the site itself, but oh well. Starting fresh will be good for me, I think. And yeah, tumblr is pretty great!
Also, yeah, that's the problem a lot of people have. The site itself isn't that great, it's adminship is trash, but the general populace is good; many people that chose here over DA, for instance, notes that you are far more likely to get comments, and of those comments you recieve you are far more likely to get NICE comments, here, because people are just.. less too-formal and more friendly and personable here. I don't know if Weasyl or anything has that ( my tumblr endeavors does, i have quite a few friends from tumblr pony blogs for instance :) ) and it'd be hard to leave the community here! It's why I'm staying.
