Well, I'm disappointed. I know one watcher more or less doesn't make a difference to you, but don't expect a watch there from me.

I respected you, and I always thought you were above the drama. You have let me (and I'm sure a lot of your other watchers) down.

um to be fair, there are reasons to move besides drama. Fa's overall system is pretty crappy and out dated and weasyl has a lot of useful features.

That would warrant spreading to Weasyl or even making it primary - but to abandon FA altogether is not the answer.

why would that only warrent using both? I dont use both google+ and facebook. Why should someone keep using something if they dont need, or want to?

If you suddenly stopped using Facebook because you didn't like it, would you expect all of your friends to switch to Google+ too?

No, I would rather she hadn't dropped off of FA at all. But that's her decision to make. I respect her decision to leave. I merely said that I am disappointed by it and won't be following her.

You've literally said that you don't respect that decision, though.

Artists do not exist solely for your personal pleasure. They do not ow you anything unless they've personally promised you something or if they've made some sort of deal with you. Someone's reasons for leaving are their own. What you think about their decision is normally completely irrelevant, but once you let a false sense of entitlement worm its way into your opinion on the matter it becomes incredibly rude.

And again, whether you support her decision or not is irrelevant. It's not your place to judge someone over any of this stuff. You're acting like you're some kind of arbiter of "when it's okay to leave" when really that's none of your business, and when your opinion is firmly rooted in a false sense of entitlement it shows that you have kind of messed up priorities. Plus, again, super rude.

I apologized for my earlier assumptions - if you had read the entire comment thread, you would know that. I have been entirely civil and have not resorted to personal attacks, so I fail to see where I have been rude or untoward, other than the things for which I have already apologized.

I'm not being judgmental, and I'm not taking it on myself to say "No, you're not allowed to leave" - and nowhere in this entire comment thread have I made any pretense of doing so. If she would like to leave, she is free to do so. However, I'm simply saying that I choose not to follow. You are confusing disappointment with her decision with not respecting her decision.

Yes, I was making that known in hopes that that might influence her decision and prompt her to reconsider, but nowhere have I stated or implied that that consideration is owed to me.

She didn't. I was just saying that I didn't plan to follow her there. I was expressing disappointment at her decision to leave, and everyone else turned it into a big debate.

Long story short: I was informing her that I am disappointed by her decision to leave, and I don't plan to support that decision by watching her. I know my watch doesn't mean anything to her in the long run, but I felt like it was worth saying.

Respect her choice.
You don't have to support her decision in going any where but respect her as not an artist but a fellow person in her choice on whatever the reason for her going is.
