Oh noes, an opinione! If I see one more journal or comment saying IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM or WHAT IF IT'S FALSE or THIS IS JUST DUMB FURRY DRAMA I am going to start murdering people and turning their skins into sketchbook covers and rugs.
THIS is why people are leaving FA. Not just the idiot decisions or the lack of improvement. But the community here in general is fetid and decaying from the inside out. The sheer levels of misogyny, transphobia and rape apologism is through the roof and people are fed up with it.
So no, it's not just "dumb furry drama". It's realising that a lot of people here are horrible, selfish children that don't give a shit so long as they can get their dose of badly executed porn.
You can sit there and clap your hands over your ears and shout LALALA NOT MY PROBLEM but it -is- your problem. Endorsing a place that is this corrupt and fucked up by continuing to support horrible people or simply condoning inaction is compounding the issue and letting the already ego-bloated perpetrators think they are beyond reprimanding.
Think about what people are saying before you simply nod and clap and declare "this!" or "sense at last!".

The thing I wonder constantly about the internet is - what do we do about it? Blocking or hiding comments doesn't help - there are ways to get around. Banning doesn't help; the offenders will often make new accounts from new IPs or just take it to a more receptive website. Telling the person the error of their ways doesn't seem to help. The return vitriol especially doesn't seem to help (I've seen cis-scum more than I want to think about). It seems like so many issues are cultural ones that will take a massive cultural shift before improving. So, what do? :I
Furaffinity is a ceasepool, not just of people, but of coding and UI as well.
Mostly I just really dislike the people who think it's just a small drama issue that nobody should be talking about or concerned with :(
The weird thing is, as soon as the whole thing came to light, I chose to get active in my W account, but stay on both sites. Just be more active in Weasyl, so I could support the alternative.
After the gross amount of bigoted, ignorant and misogynist crap I've been reading, I just want to leave and never set a foot here again.

I've been wanting to scream this from the roof tops of FA for a while now. I've been trying so hard to be so unbias and hang onto the neutral fence for so long while holding on to my morals and beliefs, but I just can't any more.
