If furries truly cared about the kind of people that ran things, A certain furry convention located in Tennessee would not have the abusive POS for a con chair that it does (it's not a rumor to me, it HAPPENED to me), I wouldn't have seen a certain registered sex offender that banged a 14 year old serving on staff at RainFurrest openly interacting with minors, etc. All that truly matters to the community is the steady flow of porn, booze and hookup parties. The ONLY time it has ever been acceptable to denounce people who hurt others has been when nobody liked that unpopular furry anyway.
