I visited california a while back and had to visit the hospital for an infection while I was there. this was in november.
A bill arrived to the place i was staying for 400 dollars. all they did was test my pee. that is bananas. I am torn as to what to do. I do NOT have anywhere near 400 dollars to just give to some asshole who did nothing but write down that I needed antibiotics. but If i were to re visit i don't know if they'd see on file that I didn't pay a bill or something and not let me in. I'm panicking because I do plan to go back and I really don't know what to do.. I can't seem to find anything on the subject.. if anyone has advice or maybe knows what would happen if I didn't pay it it would be really appreciated.. if not I'll have to find a way to make cash..

Do your parents have health insurance through their work? If so you are more then likely covered by it and they just need to send it off to the insurance company and they will deal with it.

I don't think he's got anything aside from his military basic coverage. Thanks for the suggestion though, I hadn't even thought about it!

His military insurance should cover it. As long as you live at home and are on the plan :) Ask him about it and he can ask his plan administrator

I think you can call the embassy and tell them what's happened. That's what my friend did when he got food poisoning when we were in Germany. but you should look around on the internet and see if you can find anything to help you. I'm sorry hunny!
