the cat had been no-where in sight all day. I didn't really notice it untill mom said she hadn't been attacked at the door with begs for food when she came in.

we looked all over the house, and there wasn't a trace of the damn cat.

about an hour ago, mom went out to look for her with our dog, a german shepherd named buddy. apparantly, buddy knew what was going on fairly well. he brought mom probably not more than 10 feet from where the cat had been hiding before she turned back for home.

So, as she's heading up the driveway, mom hears a faint meow. she meows back. the cat answers again and comes strolling up the street after her.

apparantly, dad had been careless and accidentally let the cat out this morning, and the poor thing, being still unfamilliar with this neighborhood, got lost for most of the day.
