Colors(it'll all make since I the end)

Every morning I wake up at the same time, put on my uniform, skip breakfast and get to the squadron to begin a long day of work. The days drag by and frankly the pay sucks, yet I take pride in what I do and what I am. And even though its not the most glamorous thing in the world i love it.
Besides being a furry I am a United States Sailor and every morning I look at what I see in the mirror and I don't see a single sailor. I see a part of a team, part of something bigger, and everyday this helps me strive that much harder to be the best I can be.
Yeah, I miss my home, Yeah, I miss my family, yeah I wish I could be with my friends back home, but the pride I feel wearing the uniform makes me walk with a bit of "sailor swag."
At first I was doing the whole navy thing for myself. For the betterment of myself, and the opportunities it gave me after my four years. Then I got to the fleet. Just seeing how everyone carried themselves and seeing how we worked as a team as we worked together as one team to concur the one fight we all knew is a constant battle in some parts of the world, freedom. And knowing that brings a certain happiness to my heart. Knowing that although I may not be on the front lines we have the watch and we will stand it with those men as women until we are properly relieved.
I'll admit, the reasons I joined weren't to fight for freedom and the better part of our government, but the reasons I take so much pride in what I do is knowing that everyday in the morning at 8 and 30 mins before sunset I have the privilege of saluting our great nations flag and celebrate that despite all our troubles we are free and I will fight to my grave so I can celebrate our freedom to the sound of colors.
