Two year hiatus coming to a close
It's been two years since my last submission to FA. Really, has it been that long? Well I guess enough time has indeed gone by, and I'm sure fans and friends alike are all wondering, "What in the blue hell is up with that green dino?" "How come I haven't heard anything new from him?" "When is the next album due out?" "Who ate the last Toaster Strudel? I was saving that!" "Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Stress-a-me Street?" Boy, what a lot of questions to answer, but I think I can shed a little more life on the subject.
First of all, with the recent loss of both my parents, I had to take a little time to settle back into a "creative mind" once again. Unfortunately, constant trips out to California to see them before they died, then returning for their services, while trying to maintain housing situations here at the homestead with needing to find roommates to fill the empty spaces within the apartment here has been a madhouse as of late. Plus having many computer malfunctions does not a productive line make. Ergo, I have been busy trying to get my life back on solid ground once again, and finding a very difficult time to do so has pushed my projects further and further out of my reaches...until finally, I have decided that honesty is the best policy, and that in order to bounce back and excel to get caught up again, I had to just say to the world, "Enough with the malfunctions and the constant traveling of hauling my prehistoric rump all over the country and back again...I need to get back to work!"
So, here I am, two years later and wondering which project to tackle first. I have already fixed up a cover illustration for my second horror novel, "Brandish Mountain" this week (about damn time, too. Fans have been waiting for this book's release since 2005!) and I have a few chapters of the book to revise before I send it in for publishing. I have not one, but TWO greatest hits compilations on the way as well, so be on the lookout for them soon. Those of you that want all the hits, but don't want to pay out the wazoo to get the whole collection will get your just desserts in time for the holidays. Makes a great Christmas gift for the furry filking fan in your life. The greatest hits CDs will be retailing for $10.00 a copy for volume one or two, and both CDs will contain bonus material that has never been released before! (Sorry, downloaders, but once the CDs are in Raccoon's Bookshelf's pretty paws, I won't be able to upload the songs here in my FA account.)
In other news, I recently took a chance and went into the local John Casablancas agency for actors and models, and I got a call back from the receptionist, asking me to come in for a group rehearsal. Got a chance to rehearse before one of the actor/model recruiters, as well as a movie producer from Texas. The producer, whose name eludes me at the moment, was impressed with my voice and acting talents, and a second interview was called in. Upon my second interview, I was able to elaborate more about my experiences in acting and voice talent work, and the talent agent was pretty impressed at my credibilities. He began to hit me with the bad news that I may be overwhelmed with experience for John Casablancas, and that he was mainly looking for those he could send through their college for coaching and getting the proper training to become better actors. Stating that the college course may bore me by teaching me things I already knew, he left the room to converse with another talent agent, and he came back in a completely changed person--very outgoing and supportive. He then told me that I may have a place in John Casablancas's agency after all, despite a need for training and coaching, and that they get inquiries from producers and directors all the time. When future inquiries are made through their agency, I will be getting called back for some acting work. I think I can safely say that I now have an agent, and that I should start to receive some acting gigs soon.
Oh, I'm still doing the Time Machine Show, Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM eastern time, but unfortunately, my computer's CD ROM drive went out yet again. This will be the third time so far that the same malfunction occurred, and I will need to send this machine into the shop for repairs. Hence, the show will be on a brief hiatus until I get the computer back in working condition once again.
A lot of you are asking me, "Where's your web site? It's not sonicblu.net anymore?" The answer is unfortunately no. The registration of my domain name expired, and another corporation took over the rights to the name sonicblu.net, so in order for me to get it back, I may have to go through them. Rather than do all that fancy footwork, I went and uploaded my web site to a temporary location until I can get my domain back online. Not sure if it will return to sonicblu.net in the future, but I have thought of changing it to sonicblusrealm.com, to reflect on the name of the web site. For now, you may follow the links on my user description in FA and my Wikifur page has also been updated with the new links.
That's all I have to report for now. Enjoy the new songs I uploaded, and keep your eyes peeled here for further info on the releases of my greatest hits CDs and the new horror novel "Brandish Mountain", and I'll see you on the flip side!
"Boy, do I have my work cut out for me! Do I stay and tackle it, or flee and scream while ripping my hair out of my head? Waitaminute...dinosaurs don't have hair!" -SonicBlu

Through all of these years, it has been, and will continue to be, an honour. I'm humbled by your presence.
Here's to many more years of media production! :D
