How I didn't lose The Game

The first cardinal rule of The Game is that everyone is playing The Game.
This is, however, a rule of The Game itself. Therefore, unless you're the kind of person who thinks you lose Simon Says even when you aren't playing everytime you do something someone tells you to without prefacing it with "Simon Says," then you are only bound by the rules of The Game if you are playing The Game.
I decided not to play The Game, therefore, I'm not bound by the first rule of The Game that says I'm playing The Game.
So you too, have not lost The Game. Unless you want to play.
