hey guys Red Here Long Time No See :) first off im very sorry for the long wait on my next journal :( I just been very busy and I hardly got any news till now xP so.. anyways just to let you guys know im On Weasyl! :D now since I herd and read about the FA drama I see everyone leaveing for Weasyl so I want to give the webside a shot :) now about that being said now your thinking "Red are you leaveing FA as well?" well of corse im staying :) im not leaveing FA Weasyl is a just in case FA gose down (Again)orthings go down hill with things here but im also on deviantart as well so why not join another art site? :P anyways my requested and gifts and so on will be uploaded thare as well but it well a bit slow since im new :) and im having an hard time figer things out :P so i will give you guys the link to my weasyl :) here but its also on my page as well :) so here is my Weasy :) https://www.weasyl.com/~theredknight100
now about the Texas Furry Fiesta that's around the conner :) some of you furrys around texas are visting my page are asking me "Red Are You Going To Texas Furry Fiesta this year?" sadly im not so sure if im going to the Texas Furry Fiesta this year :( im having an hard time telling my mom and dad and most of the family im an Furry plus im a bit nevervest about telling them plus its my first Con to go to and I wood be a shy human thare :( and gas money is expisive and I don't know any local furs around were I live or in Austin who wood take me and I doute my mom and dad wood take me on a long trip :( but not to fear im planning to go to the Texas Furry Fiesta 2015 :) so until thin i hope to meet and see you thare :) if I can find a ride or my mom and dad willing to take me :P but for those that are going to the Texas Furry Fiesta 2014 i hope you guys have fun :) anyways i need to get going so...im theredknight100 and im sighting out ;) Peace!

I still don't think that one needs to 'come out' as a furry...it's just yet another thing one does that one's parents don't understand and ultimately don't care about as long as it doesn't interfere with your grades/career/odds of making grandchildren.
There's an adult section to the art show, but it's curtained off, and there are adult panels but they are labeled as such.
People don't act signifigantly less appropriate (re: sexy behavior) than teenagers at a mall, in my experience. A lot more of them are gay, but once one gets over the oddness of seeing two guys hug it's not a big deal. They do dress up funny though!
Just sharing my experiences, do with them what you will. :)
Also, don't shapeshift in front of your parents. :)
Oh, and if you need any help talking to your parents about the community and what we stand for...I will be glad to speak with them. Just let me know how you'd like to handle it!
