Posting this here cause tumblr is a shit and doesn't always keep what i tag in the stupid tag so I don't want to risk losing this as I continue to work on it
Bennick Slyphs aka the book guardian

Height: 5 foot 8
Weight: 150
Hair: light dirty blonde, wavy, to the back of the neck and tucked behind the ears, dangly forehead hair
Eyes: Grey
Skin: pale
Aithen (no last name) Non human
Age: 28
Height: 5 foot 7
Weight: 138
Hair: Dark brown, pushed back from face, curly
Eyes: Dark purple (appear dark brown unless seen under certain light/angle)
Skin: pale
So I am working on a piece that was spawned from an AU fic idea but then I later decided to separate it into its own original piece.
So here is the lay down of the plot
A rift opens in the sky causing the earth to burn most of its plant life which causes the earths oxygen levels to thin out. The earths orbit was thrown off due to the differences between gravity coming from the rift and earth and that put most of the north part of earth in darkness while closer to the equator there is more sun which equals more plant life growth later on so the people that survived are better off there where the people in the north are much poorer.
Each town has a “tree of life” and a barrier to help keep in what oxygen is created by the tree (each town has a different way of running the machine that keeps the barrier going depending on location)
Not only did the rift cause these changes but beings came through via meteors.
Each being had powers but they pretty much look human except for small things like eye colour or ears or natural nail colours.
Which is where these 2 characters come in. The story starts a couple hundred years after the rift happens and the beings have breeded in with humans and such.
Bennick is a human who holds books dearly. He collects them and keeps them safe for the sake of knowing about the past
Aithen is one of the decedents of the beings from the rift, his ability is to taste the emotions behind words.
These two live in the furthest town that anyone can live in before it all becomes wastelands. I am still working on details and such and I only plan for this to be a short story, nothing major but yeah
