1. One album that has a feel-good childish aura to it is Let's Go Everywhere by Medeski, Martin & Wood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let%27s_Go_Everywhere), which is the genuinely interesting result of a virtuosic jazz trio taking on children's music that I end up returning to every now and then.
