Disagreement on gauges, labels me ignorant.

Wow, just wow.
Earlier today, I commented on an artists page in a fairly crude fashion.
"wow, gauges are ugly even on furries" if you can't tell from this message. I'm not a huge fan of gauges.
Long story short pretty much 8/10 teens in my town has them.. I admit they can be cute at a moderate size..
However, people go crazy with it.
I asked someone I knew why he got gauges. He said he wanted to be original, but it got popular so he made hisbigger and bigger. He's basically still obsessed.
If I disagree with gauges, I'm a hater obviously.
Meanwhile everyone else "omg ur gauges are so cute, when they get them"
SO basically someone asked me not to spread hate and I explained I'm simply voicing my opinion.
They said it was fine to do so, and they didn't even have an opinion on gauges.
I explained to them, gauges are often acquired by insecure people, who want attention, people to look twice. And compliments, they wouldn't get without gauges...
This person basically took my whole message and responded.. "ok, not EVERYONE gets gauges because of this. To even say EVERYONE does, is ignorant! I'm not even gonna respond to another of your messages. I can see I won't get through to you at all, have a nice day dear."
Wow, so if I'm so ignorant, why is it you misread my message, and jumped to a conclusion.
I said "many" not all. To assume I think all people are the same is extremely ignorant!
Also, that "dear" at the end seemed a bit condescending..

In these cases, I honestly beleive one of two things.
Like one of my friends from middle school. Who i won't name for his sake.
He said he just keeps stretching because he wants to stand out.
In those cases, which are all too common with gauges now adays...
It's either one of two things.
1. an addiction.
2. an insecurity.
it might not be a body insecurity, persay. or a mental one.
But perhaps it is when they look at other people they see themselves, and loathe the similarity.

people gauge for the same reason people wear clothing of their taste. because it makes them feel fashionable; they feel good about themselves for wearing it, etc.

now, granted, there are some people that do it for attention, but there are those kinds of people in every walk of life. I wouldn't even say "many" people do it for that reason. NATIVE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN GAUGING FOR CENTURIES, I'm pretty sure they didn't give a fuck about the attention aspect.

let me explain what I mean for you seem to misunderstand.
For one, natives don't do it to stand out. it's often a custom for tribes to do so, or in some cases perhaps a rite of passage, like a tattoo of sorts to remember.
Many people as I said Do these things because they ARE. Insecure. not everyone of course.
And again i didn';t say" EVERYONE WHO HAS PLUGS ARE IMMATURE.!"
I know several people with gauges. In many cases the people who stretch their ears an extra 5 inches or so, and if I ask why they respond "I wanted to be original but thhen everybody started doing it, so I just kept stretching."
Which exemplifies, someone wanted to stand out, perhaps not insecure. But possible.
Several people do several things because they feel lonely and want a conversation starter.
Some people dress nice to a point it seems unnescary.
some people wear booty shorts.
I beleive many people who get gauges either want to be "different", want to "rebel" from society, and in some cases their friends just wanted them to do it.
I know many people who don't care.
But I've met a few people who if I comment why, they get super pissy. then I see someone compliment them.
So perhaps people are immature.
But I feel gauges ((when done too much) really exemplify attention cravers/ insecurity..
Since pretty much everyone that I know at least with gauges, dresses like a cliche, but is nothing at all like the group they're trying to represent.
So when I say insecure "attention craving" is like 80% of what I mean in this context hehe.

I got kicked form a guild I was in one day ((said all i ever did was bitch for monehs, and they gave me like almost nothing and I sent them twice back lol))
And they're stalking me, if one member sees me like 4 start followin me x3
its funny cause they try to hurt my feelings and I start laughin'.
They like stalked me in public and one is like.

I laughed in real life and was like "says the stalker guild."
