So for those who aren't in the know, this week has been extremely stressful.
Last Wednesday, my Olds Cutlass finally died...on the way to an interview at a firm I have wanted to work at for the past year..stranded, cold, and upset I was worried I may have lost out on one of the best career opportunities and it really set me into a deep depression. Plus I have no car!
Something broke off inside the engine, whether it be a piston, a piece of the crank shaft...its uncertain. I took it to two different mechanics and they both said the engine was seized up and only way to find out would be to take it apart. Only way to fix it would be to replace the engine..my 1998 Olds had 213,000 miles on it and looked like hell..it wouldn't be worth it to fix. Most of you have seen that car and marveled how I was still able to get around in it..so now its official
"Goldie Oldie" 1998 - 2014 You looked like shit, but you got me from A to B
So this past week and a half I have been taking the bus from home to Baltimore..a 3 hour trip (tour :-P) there are plans on getting a Subaru Legacy this week if all goes well.
So now to the job..I was able to reschedule, I was so excited..and nervous! I didn't have a portfolio and spent a few sleepless nights creating one. But this past Wednesday I had my interview and..
I GOT THE JOB!!
It's at the leading historic preservation firm in Baltimore, located in a beautiful old refurbished bank, and the people are awesome. They have wanted me to work with them ever since thy saw my researching skills on the Old Power Plant project for school. It's a paid internship as of now, but if they have been wanting me for the past year...unless I screw up big I can't imagine they wouldn't keep me on after I graduate.
So stressful, got kinda shitty..but overall things are looking really awesome as of now for the K-Dawg :-D

Good things are coming your way, congratulations
I know someone with like, 19 cars, you can probably just take one he won't even notice. They are ripe like cherries.
Congrats from me as well, and best wishes for you to really get the job after the internship :3
\o/ YAY! \o/
Anything wonky and major like that, a simple engine swap with a used engine from a salvage yard is a good idea. Saves the time with mechanics trying to diagnose a badly broken engine, just pull out the old one and stuff in a new one. usually costs about 12-1300 or so. The advantage is you have a car you're familiar with and no hassles of a newer different car.
Congrats :3
Misha
after failing to preserve your ancient and historic vehicle of transportation.
Things have been going pretty good now. By the way, SUV's such as your Trooper make's great con vehicles. I have one myself a 2001 Ford Expedition one and they are great to take on road trips to cons. Once I had three fursuiters with the three suit containers, Three loads of luggage. Fans for drying a microwave and a mini frig and it all fit inside and still had lots of space and leg room.
Good to hear things are coming around for ya and as always, don't give up!
Drop me a line whenever ya get the chance.
Congrats on the job and hope things will continue to get better for ya.
