So, yeah. What up?
I've been gone Christ knows how long. Well, not really gone, so much as inactive. My laptop and scanner haven't been co-operating - in the form of fucked up file conversions. I've got a six-month backlog of art, and I'm kinda getting pissed that I can't scan it. Haven't bought a new one, for a good reason. Saving up money from the 'day' job (whats that sunlight thing again?) to pull off a move from home to my own place. Kinda hoping for one area in particular, buts its at a point where anywhere looks good. Hopefully I'll be able to have a more stable headspace when I have, well, space of my own. Granted, 19 and living with folks isn't a bad thing. More than a few people manage well enough with 'em.
The really big downside to all of this? Sorting through nineteen years of accumulated shit to figure out what I want to keep. Thankfully, I've got a car and a truck I can use, and a brother that's willing to help out. I think I'm going to take this time to dump most of my watchlist and favorites - I don't know how, but its really out of control. I sign on more than a little often, but within three or four days I've got thousands of submissions in my inbox, and usually twice that in journals. I simply don't have that kind of time. I'll be cutting... Well, most everybody. If I don't remember talking with an artist at least once, or don't find anything I enjoy in the gallery, as my tastes have... Well, changed. And a lot of inactive accounts - though a few will be held on to for sentimental value. Most of the artists I'll be keeping beyond close friends are those I think I'd like to learn from, if only by watching and trying to understand the forms.
Yeah, I'm rambling again.
And, well, most anybody that reads this is probably going to be kept, anyways. Ya'll know who you are. <3 I'll be starting the process in about four days, and anybody that's unsure if they'll be kept on can drop a line. I'm not exactly hard to find, folks.
Another update in a week, eh?
