At the start of the New Year, I was looking forward to spending a good long while in Wales. Now, barely two months later, I am leaving. The reason? I have a new job. But instead of starting in the Welsh office as I expected, the company want me to start at their head office. And so, in a week’s time, I will be moving to… Solihull!

This movie was completely unexpected right up until a few days ago, and I do feel sorry to be leaving behind all my Welsh Fur friends. But I will certainly be coming back to visit, and as I am living in such a central location, there is every excuse to! On top of which, I am far closer to all my friends in the West Midlands. Of course I will still attend Birmingham furmeets, which I have done every month since August anyway, but there will be no more three-hour journeys for me (Birmingham traffic permitting).

This weekend, as well as attending the Birmingham meet (which was great fun as always), I have been looking at places to stay, and I have now narrowed it to two options. In a few hours’ time I will have a new place to live. And this time next week, I will have moved in.

However….

There is a good chance I will be back in Wales after three months. A lot depends on how this new job pans out. Right now though, I am officially a Brum Fur.
