Hiya! I wanted to do a series of restaurant reviews for the Pittsburgh area and here is my first one!

Smoke BBQ Taqueria or Smoke for short is located on 8th ave in the Homestead area. They specialize in smoked meat tacos and mexican cuisine. If you go, be prepared to wait: their small dining room is inviting and personal but simply cannot handle the demands. Calling ahead might help you get a table faster but they don't officially take reservations.

I have personally visited Smoke several times and was impressed with the food every time. All of the ingredients are fresh and you can definitely tell. Their signature smoked meats are of the highest quality. I personally recommend the Wagyu beef brisket taco. I never thought I could bring myself to spend 6.75$ on a taco but now I do with every visit. They always have new and interesting specials so try some!

Although they specialize in smoked meat they have a decent vegetarian menu. The veggie taco, apple slaw, and chips w/queso are favs. They have different Agua Fresca all of the time but for a 1.75$ fee you can "BYOBooze". The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere inviting. I would absolutely recommend Smoke if you are willing to wait for amazing food.
