The WhatHello and thanks for your interest in a handmade leather mask! Whether you're looking for a gray wolf or a winged dragon, a steampunk fox or warrior space wolf and everything in between, you've come to the right place. I've been making leather masks for about 2 years now and it's something I love to do almost every day! Along the way, I've taught many other people how to make leather masks, including members of my family. They now join me in crafting, going to conventions, and working hard to support our small business Squirrel Creek Creations, LLC. Prices
All commissions start at $65. Prices go up in accordance to complexity and size. Please contact me if you're curious how much a mask will cost. Quotes are always free! ;)
A mask of an unmodified animal (such as a gray wolf or silver fox) start at $70. Ex. Timber wolf: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12258244/

Remakes of previous masks are also available, so long as they aren't someone's personal character. Just ask!
How a commission typically goes:
a) Trading e-mails and concept sketches to confirm mask idea.
b) Agreeing on price and paying a 25% downpayment. (Etsy or PayPal. Though PayPal is accepted on Etsy.)
c) I'll create the mask, sending periodic updates to make sure it's being completed to match your expectations.
d) Final touches.
e) Final confirmation from you.
f) I add it to my Etsy store (www.etsy.com/shop/squirrelcrkcreations) where you can purchase it and I'll ship it out asap! Or final payment can be made through PayPal.
g) Enjoy your custom order mask!
Terms of ServiceBY COMMISSIONING ME YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMSDEADLINES/DUE DATESIn your initial contact message, please state when your project needs to be completed by and I will let you know if it's attainable. 95% of the time I'm able to hit even very tight deadlines, but if you catch me the week before a show I'll most likely have to decline the commission. Your best bet always is to contact me with plenty of time in advance, just to be safe. If an order needs to be completed in less than a week, there will be a rush fee added to the cost of the mask.
UPDATES AND CHANGESI like to keep my customers updated with progress pictures every 2-3 days or whenever I have progress to show. However, sometimes I go long periods of time without internet and can't always guarantee pictures. Know that I'll send pictures when I can, and that if I don't respond immediately it doesn't mean that you're being ignored.
If you have any changes to your request, let me know ASAP. If the mask is already formed there's only so much I can do to accommodate. Leather is not a forgiving medium.
PAYMENTI prefer payment through my Etsy store, but PayPal is acceptable too. (PayPal IS accepted on Etsy.)
Payment through Etsy:
Once the commission, the concept art, and price have been agreed upon, I'll create a listing for 25% of the cost in my Etsy store. Once the downpayment has been purchased, I'll start working on your mask. After the mask has been completed and final approval given by the customer, another listing will be made for the remaining amount (plus s&h). Please purchase it at your earliest convenience. If for some reason you do not purchase this listing within 5 months, the item will not be renewed and the order will be canceled. Your downpayment will NOT be refunded as it will go to cover time and costs spent on the project. If you still planned on buying the item but thing such as life get in the way, please contact me and let me know! I will do my best to contact the buyer many times before something like this takes place.
Payment through PayPal:
Once the commission, the concept art, and price have been agreed upon, I'll send you a message with a bill for the first 25% due and the info for PayPal. Once the downpayment has been paid, I start working on your mask. After the mask has been completed and final approval has been given by the customer, another bill will be sent for the remaining 75% (plus s&h). It is up to the customer to pay this bill within one month (30 days) after the bill has been sent. If the bill is not paid, the order will be canceled. Your downpayment will NOT be refunded as it will go to cover time and costs spent on the project. If you still planned on buying the item but thing such as life get in the way, please contact me and let me know! I will do my best to contact the buyer many times before something like this takes place.
TERMINATED/CANCELED ORDERSIf for some reason the order needs to be canceled, the mask will be reappropriated if at all possible. The design will be changed and if at all possible sold. Otherwise it will be absorbed into my personal collection. If you need to cancel your order and work hasn't yet begun on your mask, then the full amount of your downpayment will be refunded. If you cancel after the mask is complete but before you pay the full amount, then I cannot give you a refund on the downpayment. Please respect this and only order if you're serious.
SHIPPINGI ship with USPS and include insurance on any purchase $50 or higher. Shipping in the US is $5-8 (depending on mask size) and typically arrives in 3-5 days. You'll be provided with a tracking code when applicable. Shipping international starts at $12. Here's my shipping policies as per my Etsy store:
We ship via USPS. Insurance will be provided for any purchase over $50.00. A tracking number will be provided everytime, except when shipping over seas. The item(s) will be shipped in 1 to 3 business days from the payment date unless a federal holiday is being observed or if item is a custom order.
Your item(s) will be shipped to the address you provided on PayPal or Etsy unless you notify us otherwise. Please make sure your PayPal address is current to avoid any confusion. If your purchase is a gift to be shipped to an alternate address, please contact us by e-mail immediately with the recipients address. We are not responsible for shipments to incorrect addresses provided by buyer.
Regarding International Shipping: On average, international takes 6-10 days. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Sometimes an item will get caught up in customs and there's nothing we can do about that. It is up to YOU to know your country's customs policies on imported goods, and to know whether there will be an additional fee once it arrives. We CANNOT ship our leather goods to Italy as they have a ban on imported leather products. If you order a mask and live in Italy, we will have to cancel your order and fully refund your money.
Once the package leaves the US, we can track it no longer. If you do order internationally, we'd appreciate you letting us know when the package arrives. This will help us give better shipping time estimates for future customers.
Regarding Express International: If you need your product ASAP, we do provide Express shipping internationally case by case. On average, Express International costs between $40-$60 and will have a guaranteed arrive by date and a tracking code. If your product doesn't arrive by the guaranteed date, then you'll be refunded the extra money you spent on express shipping. If you want express shipping, please send us a message and we'll respond in the timeliest manner possible, typically within a couple hours and no longer than a day. Send us your country, city, and zip code and we can provide you a guaranteed arrive by date and cost estimate. We'll then provide you a custom express shipping listing which you can purchase along with your product.

RETURNS/REPAIRSI do not accept returns at this time. However, if your mask was damaged during shipping, please let me know ASAP and I can get you a refund through the USPS if you return the damaged mask.
