Being in a relationship in the furry fandom tends to be a huge clusterfuck to begin with. My boyfriend and I are both in the fandom, we're both bi-sexual, and we're both sex fiends. You know, as most in the fandom are. I've been with him for 6.5 years now, and he is my everything in this world. Without him to come to every night for comfort, motivation, and reassurance...things would be a lot different right now.

Now, being bi-sexual, we obviously are attracted to the other sex. Roleplays will happen, flirting may happen, etc...but let me make it clear. We're in a closed relationship.

But for whatever fucking reason, people in this fandom cant fucking respect that. The flirting and the roleplay does bother me to an incredible extent. I let it happen though, because there are obviously things I cant give to my boyfriend based on my gender. It's when the other party starts the nude photo exchanges and webcam calls, etc that things start to get out of control. I feel like I am being cheated on, and this is not fucking okay by any means.

I dont come over there and mess with your significant other. This does not make it okay for you to do this to my relationship when you have been expressly told I am not okay with it.

The part where it gets really shitty and fucked up is my position in this fight. I am a female in the fandom. Already in the minority there. Females in the furry fandom do not have the upper hand in most arguments. My opinion gets pushed aside, I get told I'm adorable when I'm mad, and it all just gets laughed off. My voice drowns out, and then I continuously get hurt in the end because people are ignorant, selfish, and cant fucking understand boundaries. If I tell you no, I fucking mean it.

Yes, I'm an incredibly jealous person. But I climbed through hell and high water several times for this relationship. I gave up so many things, missed out on so much, fought through tears, death, and self harm to get my relationship to where it is today. Unless you have my express consent, stay the fuck out of my relationship.
