Perhaps there's an area you aren't being fulfiled in. perhaps a strong love life?

I definitely do not have a strong love life. Relationships always was the one thing I never could do properly. I find it hard to connect with people, to find them interesting. It takes a special kind of person for me to even befriend properly.

That is an excellent question, on which I don't think I can adequately answer. My best guess is that you may have had struggles getting previous objects up off the ground, and you still have doubts and fears about it. Just speculation.

I have plenty of doubts about plenty of things. I try to keep the attitude of "I can accomplish anything I set my mind to", but I do see the cracks in that knowledge, especially when I look at where other people are in their lives, profesionally and in their relationships.

It might be Physical, or random emotional problem? There's lots of reasons someone could feel bad, and it might not be directly related to what's going on right now.

It's probably a lot of things. Sometmes I feel like I figured it out but there always seems to be just something. Life stagnation and all of that. I until I accomplish what I set out to do, rather than just being in the process of doing something, it doesn't count. Making a game doesn't count, having made a game does. But for my serious project, that's still well over a year away.

That must be a tough process to deal with. The Euphoria you get from finishing something really does feel good, though, so I guess there's that to look forward to.

I'm usually the type that doesn't have the drive so I rarely finish things. I'm also working on a project but it feels like it'll be a year before we even get the ball rolling.

That sucks. I know how tough it is to get anything off the ground. I was searching for years for a good person to partner with in order to make my game, but once I realized I couldn't rely on anyone, I had to make the tough call of managing everything by myself. In that sense, I have as much control I want, but it can defintiely be a burden to have to do everything on your own.

Yeah, as long as people are still working, then I'll at least try my best to keep up. If the project fails though, I'm set to bail perfectly fine with knowing I didn't accomplish much. I feel like I'm probably on the same level as those guys you couldn't trust since the only thing that keeps me going is the fact that I promised my friends I'd help.

I totally get that, not wanting to disappoint can be a powerful motivator. It took me a few years before I became reliable concerning these things. Depending on your personality, eventually the desire to be someone overtook and since I failed in venues when it came to proving myself before an employer, I decided that the only way I could succeed is to be an employer myself.

I think that's part of what depresses me, I just wasn't good enough to get "there" through conventional means, so I took a back door. Instead of using great skill, I'm grinding through the work.

You are coming through. I understand the concept of being disappointed because it feels like you're taking the easy route, in fact our de facto boss for the project I'm on feels the same way. He's constantly telling us to treat him like another worker, but we keep trying to give him a break because he's the main motivator of the project.

Every project needs a leader, though, someone who organizes the project and motivates the people that are involved working under them, and I think it's a good thing when that leader role is filled by someone like our leader, or you who feels guilty about being the one in the highest position.

Nah, I don't feel guilty, I feel annoyed that I was never given that opportunity in other contexts and I had to invent a context for me to be the boss. That's how I feel in general, I'm not good enough in my employment place to go up, so I start making my own opportunities. But since it's always a struggle, I feel I end up having to fight for every inch without getting a lot of breaks.

On the contrary, I love being the boss, and I'm fine with giving people their dues whether it's good or bad. And I have no issue taking the blame when I'm at fault since I'm more about being fair, than raising selfishly.

I didn't really mean guilty so much as humble. Or I guess just not doing it for a power high.

That's defintiely for the best. Working for people with a power high is pretty dreadful. Working with people who are good and know it though, really demoralizing :P

It's that desire to be recognised as good by others, and be rewarded for it.

I don't get better so easily. My mind is great at multitasking. I tend to work, watch movies, chat and mope at once. I'm really not good at singletasking.
