*Important announcement* Senior project, help needed.
Hello everyone. it has been quite some time since my last update. It is finally time to reveal what I have been doing with my time. This college semester I have been working on my senior project, a massive academic research paper. Most of all I hope to give the anthropomorphic community and subculture a bit of a better standing among the academic community and reveal what findings I uncover this semester. Please help if you can and spread the word.
We all know that historically, the anthropomorphic art-form is among one of the oldest known genres in the art world. I intend to investigate cultural significance of anthropomorphic, human-animal hybrids through history. Additionally I intend to find out how anthropomorphism has influenced the relationship between humans and non-human animals.
The purpose of my study is to understand if the cultural context of anthropomorphism within a society can be used to help the environment.
This is how I need your help. Please write comments below.
What anthropomorphic figures are depicted in a writing, sculpture, art etc. throughout all cultures around the world? I an using everything form paleolithic figurines and art to the modern day.
I need everyone's help in pulling together a listing of as many human-animal hybrids as we can find. In order to have conclusive results I need to have a large sample size. Some of these have names and some are known by the name of the creature, like Anubis and a minotaur respectively. The modern figures are going to consist of mainstream stuff like tony the tiger. As much as I would like to have everyone in the fandom documenting their characters that is not within the scope of my research this time around.
I need as many of these mythological figures as we furries can muster as a community. I know this community is capable, and extends around the world. With that wealth of knowledge worldwide I hope to catch all of the figures I may otherwise miss.
I will make a journal to be linked here containing a listing of all of the figures we can uncover.
Thank you for the help. Please send out a journal to publicize this or tell your friends, or send a link over skype.

And there is also Thoth the ibis headed god of knowledge in Egyptian mythology.
Then we have Ra the sun god who was I believe a falcon. As was Horus.
Oh and I think the Greeks had a story about a man turned into a wolf for testing Zeus by feeding him human flesh or something.
I hope these help you in your assignment. If you need more info, I can help with it.
I had forgotten about the man who was turned into a wolf, however. it is strange, lycanthropy is one of the things that shows up in many cultures, even Japan. If it is in Greek culture, then I'm sure that similar stories are far older than I imagined. I will look for this myth and see what i can find. Thank you very much.
