The biggest problem is letting the popularity go to your head. There's nothing wrong with being popular as long as you're humble about it.

I don't believe in the concept that popularity make one better or more attractive/pleasant to be with. Nor would i desire a friendship any other way than mutual interests. Nothing else.

yes, and considering public perceptions of Furries, being 'popular' in this fandom is not really a good thing, as furries (at least to my knowledge) are at the bottom rung of the social stratosphere in some people's eyes. this fandom is abound with inflated-egos and juvenile bickering, i mean who wants to be popularly known as a member of a subculture that sexualizes characters from disney movies and children's cartoons? who create alter egos for themselves because (some) may be fairly insecure about their self-image and suffer from low self esteem and a twisted perception of self-concept?.. i could go on, not as if i dont suffer a little bit from the aformentioned faults, im just confortable enough to admit my short comings, i am simply an artist in this fandom who gets off to making his clients happy!
