and if you wring it out or pour the shadows into a pit you can make a pool comprised entirely of shadows that only a few chosen shadowshifters are allowed to study and control
It is a dangerous substance for a shadowshifter and can only be handled safely by the silk bearer
as a shadowshfter you are trained in the Shadowpaw sacred technique Shadowmeld
if you accidentally shadowmeld into the liquid shadow you may lose yourself
shadows are portals when they are flat on a surface you know where you are headed
but in liquid shadow you will never know what will happen if you are not trained
If one is trained they are able to travel anywhere they wish or maybe even use it as a body of water
although being able to breathe freely staying in the same place takes complete focus though
If one were to lose focus even for a second they might end up lost somewhere between worlds

When the user travels with the liquid shadow the shadowsilk absorbs the shadow and seems to unravel slowly as the user heads towards their destination bridging the gap so one doesn't get lost if used correctly
should one lose focus for a second during travel the silk will slip from their grasp and they will lose their way back
