Is the new demo not so great?

It's basically Splintercell: Black List. Like, watered down SC style mechanics, from what I've experienced. Not what I expected from a Metal Gear game.

Nah not quite. I just hate how short it is, and it tries to make up for it with Side Missions that all use the same map, just different objectives, and day cycles.
Its fun, Im just mad there wasnt more to it all.

Also, Im fine with and even like the "3rd person shooter" style.
The lack of a HUD is actually very nice and adds a new feel for the series.

Its a Prequel that tells a few events that happen before MGS: V - The Phantom Pain.
Whats got me upset, is how SHORT IT IS!

2-4 hours!?
Not with story..... maybe with the rest of the content that is in, which are basically real time VR Missions. And there is possibly 1-2 more characters being introduced though it all.
The extra missions mentioned, its all on the same Map the Story takes place.
They are fun and challenging, but it feels lazy.

The FOX ENGINE is actually very nice, but I bet optimized it will look its best on a High end PC, or the PS4/ONE
Now I get why MGS: V starts out the way it does, but I have a sour taste in my mouth with how short this prequel is.

Last thing to mention....
I like the new Voice actor. He really does feel more Mature, and fits Naked Snake/Big Boss.

Oh, well~ I like the MGS series, but I can't justify buying an overpriced demo. I'm sure the main game will even tell you the same things that happened in it. Either way, I do think the new engine looks pretty. Hope it shapes up well.

You keep calling it a Demo
Its not a Demo, even though it technically does work as a Good tech demo to see how V will play, and to show off their Engine.
But hey, this is why I still love and support Redbox :P

If I love it, I will morn that I didnt BUY it.
If I hate it or its lackluster, I only payed $2.16 to play it for a day.
