Sonora this weekend was amazing...

So this weekend I got to get away to Sonora. It was extremely nice even though most of the major hiking trails were closed due to the winter season. This is odd as there isn't any snow really, but go figure. It was nice to go out and be lost in the woods for awhile. The trail wasn't really a trail at all, but the three of us meandering through the wilderness without a care. It was surprising to see free flowing water out in the woods in lieu of the lack of snow on the mountain tops. I have to say that free flowing water is one of the most soothing sounds I can come across in the wilderness. I met some new people too which is always a pleasure. I also had the experience to drive a Prius. I have to say for all the flack they get from gear heads all and all it isn't that bad of a car overall. You can't beat 46 average mpg, unless of course you own a Tesla. The setback from owning a Tesla is the challenge of finding a place to charge your car to make it all the way back to civilization. If only Tesla can innovate upon their battery charging system to make it compatible with trees. I could only imagine what that might be like. After hiking up in Sonora we journeyed to Columbia which apparently was once a bustling town at the height of the gold rush. I found a cave and journeyed into it a bit before it was too small to go any further. Might have to come back sometime with some knee pads so I can crawl haha. There was also an abundance of poison oak which was a bit of a nuisance seeing as how I wore shorts. None the less it was an awesome experience to see such nice basalt formations. Driving back home in the Prius wasn't half bad except for the fact that Pandora wanted to cut out half the time. Luckily that's why you have passengers to keep a healthy conversation with to pass the time. Anyways I start working next week which will be enjoyable and then the weekend in BLFC and I can't wait! I look forward to seeing a lot of people I know and meeting many new people I don't know. It shall be an adventure that trumps last years excitement especially with all the people that are going this time around. Well that's all for now, see you next weekend!
