hey all^^
we are still adjusting and trying to find a way to get things in order here as the laptop my roomie and I share is in for repairs. I had some stuff ready but for some reason it did not red any files and began acting strangely. So he went ahead and had it looked over by a tech, once it gets back here I will let you all know.
hope you are all doing well and heyyy did you guys see the new ninja turtle trailer? can I get your guys feed back on that and what you all think?
my feed back
well first off its got Michael Bays name on it. I have lost complete faith in that man but at the very least he is not directing, but it is not to say he does not have influence.
two I do not mind change as long as it is for the better and it still respects the original and shows that the canon is still kept in mind. which Bay fails at miserably I mean look at what he did to Devastator, he made him him a giant circus midget with wrecking balls for balls and why is Optimis' mouth on his chin?!
I like how how the turtles are more reptilian and love Leonardos stoic demeanor in the trailer as he looks bad ass but do I still like the new look? I still need to see how Raph and Donny look, Mikey well he is still Mikey and on that I do love that he is still his fun whimsical self. but again... I still am making up my mind.
where is Splinter? and since when did shredder have anything to do wiht the origin of the Turtles in the first place? and Megan Foxx as Ms O'niel.........no, wont like that one ever but hey thats just me.
I do not like that is all CG and long for some practical effects but I do understand the lazy demeanor of Bay and he is just wating the money and not caring if we are happy or not its all about the money my friends Bay is a mental midget wiht a shot gun be afraid be very afraid.
I know how expensive it would be using practical effects but I wonder is it really that or is it just a lazy response from the so called big shots becasue wiht shows like Face Off and Jim Henson's Creature shop the practical effects are not going to go away and they are proving they can do some really epic awesome stuff on a very low budget. I love Cg but I love when both are used as a prpoer story telling tool to enhance the characters and not dominate the whole flippin story.
all in all though we will have to wait and see how this will play out and hopefully we might something worht looking forward t....but as long as its got Michale Bays name on it I remain skeptical
well sorry for the long journal, I am using a tablet and it surfs pretty cool but it belongs to my roomies uncle so I need to get it back to him.
till then stay awesome my friends and thanks for being patient
Peace

The actor playing Shredder is not asian and he works for TGRI, which is the same place that made the ooze/mutagen which created the turtles... how is that even CLOSE to the original comics? Bay is an idiot, plain and simple. Why did he put flames on Optimus Prime?
"Because I wanted flames on Optimus Prime".
and where is Splinter? have you noticed not a peep about Splinter? I am a little worried about this.
I dread to think of his answer as to why he put Optimus's mouth on his chin.
"hey bay why u do dat"
"because I was thinking of robot monkies at the time"
Personally, it doesn't surprise me that they would jam things together like that. Some people, (especially in Hollywood), do seem to have a problem with the concepts of "these two critical elements have absolutely nothing to do with each other," and "it really was an accident, there was no malice or bad intentions in play whatsoever."
BTW: It's TCRI, Techno-Cosmic Research Institute.
On a completely unrelated note, did you know that the professor in the second movie was supposed to be Krang? :D
yea I see where you are coming from with Fox so I am glad that did indeed tone her down a bit.
as for bay well I had faith in him at first but when he began to disappoint me time after time with Devastator Sound wave and now Grimlock well enough was ehough for me.
but as I said before only his name is on it but for other folks that is all they need to hear, His name was also added on the revamped Nightmare on Elm Street and well it did not go so well either, even though he did not direct it.
yea I have lost a lot of faith in this guy and as far as I am concerned he is just a rash and needs to be treated asap.
Yeah, I've noticed some erking things about the TMNT trailer too. From the lore I remember as a kid, their mutation was suppose to be an accident and not intentional, and it looks like Splinter may have been pushed out of the new lore entirely. The only redeeming thing I saw would have to have been the feel of the characters themselves, from what I saw they still seem to have the same quirks and characteristics that made them the characters we grew up with. Hopefully there won't be anymore unpleasant surprises.
The change in character designs I actually don't mind as much as others have complained about. I am a little troubled that it does deviate from what they initially were, but the more detailed and ugly design would most likely play towards peoples initial revoltion to them, the same way that the characters had to deal with it from the comics and cartoon series.
How I feel about Bay? I would say that he would do an excellent job involving the action scenes, but there is merit in worrying that he'll overstep what fans really want. Most likely the character designs are foreshadowing this, but there is still more to be seen before we can fully judge the movie. I do hate what happens when Bay takes the directer seat but his action sequences are very well done. Lets just hope that Micheal Bay and M. Night Shayamalan don't team up........ ever "Explosions the Twist"
Now how I feel about CG? I hate the grasp that it has acquired over all movies, ever since it was created. I understand that CG is needed for scenes that cannot be done without it, and I love space visuals and the movement of massive objects that can't be accomplished without the use of CG. I fell in love with it when half traditional/CG movies got to their peak. But for the case of anything that's meant to be more real, on the ground, normal sized, regular person shaped, Micheal Bay for F&#k sake did you even try animatronics? Any movie at all where makeup, costume designs, creature affects, monster movies, where an actual physical subject would give you the most realistic visual are just all crippled by the grasp of CG. I understand that some things need to be CGed in order to do the impossible, but really it doesn't need it to replace everything.
Sorry for the long rant.
After watching Jim Hensons Creature Challenge and Face of today I am convinced Practical effects or not as expensive as these big shots claim and are seemingly trying to push practical effects away in favor of an over cged block buster with nothing but hype money behind it.
I talked to some freinds at work and they are totally against the over use of cg as well and they know oa lot of other people that are, it is beginning to show and the people will tire of the whole over cg stuff and probably want to go back to a mix of the both.
It was great hearing from you my friend and I also hope to get the lap top situation fixed so I can get back on FA more often as well.
take care! ^^
