You Won!!! Won What?
Checked my mail today and I got a car dealer flier with a scratch & win game on it with no purchase necessary. So, I decided to give it a go and I noticed the numbers matched. O.O
The prizes are $20k in cash, a Wal-mart card worth $5k, a caribbean cruise for two, and $25 in cash. Now, I'm going nuts to see what I've won, but silly thing is today is the 24th and I may never know what I won til 26th. I'm hoping it's the $20k in cash, because that means a fursuit, new computer, a car repair, and other things.
Wish me luck. I'll be needing it.
Toward fursuit: $100 of $2500 saved.
Art Goals (furs to draw)

3)

It's always the cruise. D:
Better luck to you!
Technically they have to make the prize available without purchase, but it's not worth my day to play that game.
Even if you win one of those prizes, you are responsible for paying the full tax amount upon receipt of the item. So... yeah, If you won a $30K car, you have to cough up the approximately $3K on the spot to claim the car. Now I'm sure you could get a loan for that, but it does demonstrate that even those folks that win all those prizes on game shows aren't really in that good of a position. If you're rich to begin with, then it's no problem. If you aren't, then you could go into debt trying to claim the prize.
