I decided to start a meme myself, because I'm genuinely curious what artists are thinking when they are doing art, taking commissions, drawing in general. What do you think about when these things are going on?
What Goes On In Your Brain When... Meme?
Commissions:
1. Knowing you still have several full colored commissions to do even after you just finished one: Gawd damnitttttttt my hand is going to hate me
2. A commissioner wants to watch you do their commission.: Meh. Not a good or bad thing. I don't mind being watched.
3. You are working on a commission.: Doodlie doodlie doo's. My mind usually goes blank when I focus.
4. You are working on an adult commission.: This is HOT! (Am I the only one that gets a bit turned on while doing adult commissions?)
5. You are working on a fetish specific adult commission.: If it's a fetish I share, yuuuuuuuum. If not, ooh lookit all the technical details I can give this.
6. You get a well written essay from a commissioner.: Looking for the keywords. I wish people would bold them so I get CHARACTER and CHARACTER doing STUFF with THINGS.
7. You get only a single sentence from a commissioner.: Soooooo, I'm gunna do whatever I think looks good, cuz they don't care.
8. You get the proper balance of explanation/ decent reference pictures from a commissioner.: Yayyyy!!!! Ooooh, they even told me what they don't like about the reference picture. SWEET, I'm gunna do better than this ref.
9. A commissioner starts his/her idea with, "I'm not sure if you do this... but.": Link to ToS or open a browser to figure out what that wierd fetish word means.
10. A commissioner uses specific color words like 'puce, chartreuse, cornflower blue, amaranth, cadmium (orange, green, red), etc.): Aaand google. Ooh, so THAT'S puce! okay.
11. You don't like how a commission is turning out, but the commissioner does.: Meh... it's money I guess. Might just happen to 'forget' to post this one to my gallery.
12. You love what you've done with a commission.: Hell yeah, I am the AWESOME! Back pats and bragging to myself now!

16. You have too much to do to do personal art.: Man I need this. Ah well, maybe if I work fast I can do something for myself.
