Some thoughts to think about.
I'm old. I may only be 29, but I feel like my soul is around 100. I'm out of place with this era of people. I know a lot of people will think to respond, "I understand" or "Yeah, that's about right", but it's not what I'm feeling. I don't know if it's the common sense I grew up with or the intelligence I've been cursed/blessed with, but here are the problems I see:
-People are so self entitled.
-People make up excuses for life.
-People say things such as, "I'll never love/trust/be able to/blah again."
-People think life is hard.
-People can't man up to mistakes.
-People shove blame everywhere.
-People have something to say in opposition to everything.
-People have weak wills and spirits.
-People fake having strong will/spirit but show it as aggressiveness or over-achieved lack of care and flaunted neutralism.
-People on the internet are all doctors and/or believe they are ill with a mental illness once they're told that they have it... seriously.
Mental illness with mental implications with mental reinforcement... such weakness.
-People think they're the center of your universe.
-Just because you're a fur, an animal, it does not make you.
-The internet stuff gets too serious. Really.
-Suicide. Seriously. I've been through putting enough friends in the ground for being weak. They let themselves go. They made the decision. We just live with the aftermath. Thanks a lot. [Memoram: Brandon, Big T, and Kaitlyn. God rest your young souls.]
This is a semi rant. It will ruffle feathers, turn hides, and overall show the colors of people's soul. Thank you for not having to put up with this, but choosing to read this.
Some things in life get to you, the thing to remember is everybody will die and people will be born. With you, without you. Every decision you make is on you. If you can't be strong, then be weak. You'll fall, it won't get any easier. Be strong, and you'll survive. It may not be as great as some, but your pride should be the best reward.
PS - Why do people seem to have poor management skills? Friend management, commission management, money management, life management? I would think those would be priorities in an artist community. Live your life, then come here for the extra. You're not going to be long term if this is all you depend on. It's hard, but it's not forever. Nothing is forever.
That is all.

Very interesting. I can't say I practice all of this(especially the unwillingness to trust/love/etc bit; I'm loud and proud about being more than unwilling to do so). Some people call it existentialist, but I own my decisions. Me and me only. I color myself being strong-willed, but only to the extent that I won't treat others like punching bags and I won't tolerate the same done to me. Other than that, I'm just as stubborn as it gets, heh. I've got my flaws, but I do pride myself on treating people like human beings and not a bunch of chattel.

You can only be you, not anyone else. Being bull headed is a way to survive when others try to make themselves bigger than yourself. Good to hear you take pride in yourself. Everyone should.

I appreciate hearing that. Thank you.

This journal got to me in so many ways. I'm glad I read this a little and thank you for voicing this.

Sometimes people need to take a look from a different pair of shoes. I'm old [not too old] and life just sticks out to me. I watch from the sidelines and see all the world's gears ticking and how people make those gears skip teeth. It's really amazing to notice how selfish people have become in so many ways. Everyone is about #1 and that is all. I'm out for the world, not the people. If you ever need an ear, I do listen well and keep my mouth shut. Spreading words cause nothing but more conflict. I'm glad you read my journal though and thank you.
