Omg, I have that problem too! Plus the touchscreen opening everything it can find in my pocket, the 3G thingy randomly turning on and nor turning off (if you don't have a 3G plan, it is expencive as all heck!)

Smartphones are for smart furs to call other smart furs... if you're not smart... then the phone will lock you out.. and you have to get a smart fur to unlock the smartphone to call another smart fur who's nearest to the fur who's also not smart to complete their call.... or something like that...;)

If you use it for normal calls, it is a normal phone. If you use it for games it is entertainment, if you use it to get the weather you are more knowledgeable and can plan clothes to wear or what day to shop. If you use it for reading news you can become smarter, if you use it for youtube your brain goes into a tube. If you use it for all of those it kind of balances out to making you you on the go.

1.If you use it for normal calls, it is a normal phone.

A. Smartphone cost you lots of money for mins you use and don't use. And cost you more money then land lines! At least it mobile!

2.If you use it for games it is entertainment,youtube your brain goes into a tube

B.And all that cost extra plus your bill gose up! Plus you have to be in a area that has free Wifi. Or pay extra with your phone plan! More money! ^v^ All that entertainment on a very small screen gets annoying!

3.Weather & news!

C. People don't really pay attention to either on smartphone, Tv, or newspaper!
Unless they have something to do on that day!
Or they know that person or place where the news is happening!

Smartphone come out with a new smartphone every year that's better then the last one. VvV So you just Wasted your money on a phone! Best anwer the I-phone the best smartphone there is! Some say! So why do we need a 5 verion of it? O.O ???? I should had waited!

Me personally I sit at a computer 18 hours a day and I still use my phone about 3 of those hours for other tasks. Phone calls can last 5 min-110 min. I check my email on it both at home and on the go. At home I only do email on the computer if it has large pictures or I need to reply more then 2 lines. When I have to travel it can direct me where to go and even find the phone number to where I am going so I can call ahead before I leave to make sure I don't waste my time. The plan is pricey but I use the minutes and data. When going to a convention I can check the con schedule and then add events to my personal calendar I want to attend with custom alterts.

When at a furmeet and I start talking about a fursuiter I can pull up FA and just show the suiter and the suit. I also play tower defense games on it when in a lobby waiting on an appointment when without signal. It's all in how you use it as to if it's worth it. In addition, it also depends on how much money you have to if it feels like a squeeze or it's just a normal bill you don't think about. 5.25" screen is not that small. My 7" tablet is obviously better but can't receive calls and can't connect to the internet without wifi

Well, I never learned much from schools. Having lived in 130 different foster homes from just the age of 3-13 I bounced around a lot. [I still have a new paper clippings where someone used me as a case for needed adoptions] so I've always had to learn by seeing or doing. So I learn more from reading FA journals then I learned from school. I got my GED at age 16. So I think the capacity to learn from a smart phone is linked to your desire to learn from it and your time invested in learning to use it as a tool for learning and not think of it like a phone.

If I had to explain a smart phone it would be like this.

It's a laptop that fits in your hand. The screen is a bit small but it's always got internet. It lacks a keyboard but the voice recog has gotten good enough for short replies. It's cheaper then a computer but has a monthly fee for the internet access. It also does phone calls and text too so when your car breaks down and your lost you can find out where you are and then call your friend and explain to them how to find you step by step.

An app is a program for making your smart phone a more useful and customized tool for you.
