Is really my new favorite class. Slapping things with a shield is so much fun.

they were a little underwhelming when they first came out but the recent patch boosted them up a bit I heard.

I love their sound effects for some of their skills.. just makes me smile

They were slightly underwhelming on release, yes. Fun, but underwhelming. For me, most of it was because even with all of the armor and block chance they got, they were still pretty damn squishy on most builds. Past that, some of the abilities, yeah...Too lackluster.

But let me tell you, hitting a group of enemies with Bombardment+one certain rune and a whole bunch of buffs active and 3 of them doing near 88mil damage....Satisfying.

Plus there's that one weapon for them that doubles the impact count

I have yet to find that weapon, sadly, but oh man I wish I could. I've still got a pretty decent weapon though as it is.

Now if only I could get the rest of my gear to be decent ;_;

You know there is also a 1-H weapon that makes shield throw cost no wrath. It's EPIC, and a shield that increases the amount the shield bounces around foes up 5 times. I have the shield and it's so good.

I'm still crusading about, though I think I left Synx way behind now, switched my main from Monk to Crusader now

also I play a small army Crusader, as in I summon archers and my brothers from beyond to help me on my mad crusade

I imagine synx doesn't get much time to play xD

Patch really breathed new life into the game. I was one of those rare people who enjoyed it from day 1, but its just become so much more fun now.


One of these days i'm gonna get going on hardcore though...Last I tried HC was in D2

Me and my friend ran new crusaders up to, I think it was lvl 48 or something close to that, in ~8hrs, and landed right at the end of A2.

I've been trying to level my crusader to 70. Haven't had much time outside of work, but I'm off for the next 2 days, so my current plans are lots of diablo. Like, all day.

Just keep at it!

yeah i know it's a good class for farming gold and items, that's why i mostly play with my archer

to be honest, D3 (and probably RoS from what I hear) is to much of a grind for my taste. Its fun for a short time, but at some point the RNG of the game becomes a huge source of frustration. Going trough 99 garbage legendary items just to get one of those that might have a chance to be awesome. To much grind for me.

I am sure people can have a lot of fun with it. But, I had my grind with D2. Played it for years and loved it. But well. I am getting to old for those kind of games.

With the patch 2.0 changes that is a very solid yes.
The auction house is gone for one and secondly there is a new smart loot system that makes gear dropping more accurately represent the class that you are playing.

The game difficulties are no longer tiered. But instead mobs level with you and difficulty is scaleable as you wish it to be with benefits for higher scaling. The game is challenging regardless of what part of the game youre in.

Also the bounty / rift adventure mode gives a nice alternative to end game after you've completed th he campaign.

For me the biggest thing is that legendaries are now legendary again and never again will the game be centered around farming for gold to buy what you want from the auction house since its been removed.
