Yugioh... i loved your original TV series, i really did, sure the first coupels seasons you pulled BS like "Duh... i fuse ma mammoth wiff ur dragun now hes deads, derp" and "Duuuh i makes a billions copies of kuribohs because i canz, gg brah" But after the end of season 1-2 you staretd to take yourself reletivly seriously, introduced some interesting and extremely terrifying villans who straight up murdered people over a childrens card game...

But after the first series ended you made yugioh Gx, the first problem with this was that you put yugi as an adult int he first episode making a silly cameo and luired us all in making us believe we were going to get him again... instead you gave us a braindead 3 year old who was LITERALLY so stupid that he cracked jokes while dueling for his fucking life... whi9ch makes no sense incontext because the people you were facing were 3 times your size, giant monsters, and most of them had real physical weapons and you had holograms... and before anyone says some BS about them being real becuase of series 1... Series 1 had the millenium artifacts and the seal of oriclacum making them real, this was real life ancient magiks that was used in the ancient times to make the monsters real and suck out peoples souls... in GX its a fucking duel disk on their arm, designed by kibacorp so everyone can duel.


After that i was praying to GOD youd stop... but nope, we got duling on motercycles becuase... reasons i guess... The upside in that the characters were actually fun and interesting, AND the world they created actually made sense in context. Every 5000 years a bunch of demons lure in humans to try and summon them into the world and grants them superpowers, INCLUDING the ability to make the monsters real meaning that you are being hit with real god damn fire, this works with the original series becuase the millenium artifacts areold enough to have been involved in the last event, and the seal of oriclacum was older still meaning it could have brought about, or stopped the one before that. But... this doesnt make up for duling on MOTERCYCLES... where if you get hit with a fireball, you are DEAD, travkling at anything between 40-200 miles per hour (the faster you go in real life effects the duel) meansss that if you are hit with a fireball... gg, you are dea, pretty much instantly, and if you dont die you are a living pile of ground beef for the rest of your life. beyond that, the villans are fairly bland... they all take sith drugs, most of them start out good guys then somehting happens and the bad guys lure them in with the promise of revenge, they are given an earthbound immortal who then possesses their soul when they realise they turned evil... then they all lose and the good guys win, bleh, dont care.



Then we had yugioh zexal, which... i never watched, i only saw the first episode and decided VERY quickly they tried to merge a lot of previous elements from the previous shows, such as... duel disk are obsolete, instead everyone on earth wears a lens on their eye that lets them SEE duel monsters wrecking the earth, buuuuut the earth isnt really being wrecked, just an illusion for you to see. I was the first episode, didnt like it, moved on.

NOW we have Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V... Which i havnt even looked at yet, only read a brief summery, and it SOUNDS like the final season for the original series when yugu is in the past reliving the pharohs memories, the monsters are real now, they can be summoned for real now, and they really beat the shit out of you if they hit yhou... you know... a kids card game.
