I'm so sorry, Gable... When we put 'my' kitty down, the kitty I grew up with, it was really, really tough.

Oh no.. I'm sorry. At least that cat lead a very long, love filled life, yes? Take your time and it'll be ok.

I know how that is, Gable. Two years ago, my Sister's cat, turned mine...had to be put down by a sudden cancerous tumor in her jaws. Then, two weeks later...one of my Mother's cat had to be put down, due to a sudden illness that was quickly taking her. And then, suddenly, the cat we saved from an abusive neighbor...was also quickly passing on, getting sicker and sicker. My Mother was devastated. She couldn't handle it for awhile and got really depressed. I followed, but I had to break out of it or I'd have collapsed under the weight of that loss.

In their passing, we got my Cousin's cat, and we rescued another cat from up north in Virginia, where my Sister lived. Kiwi, the new calico, became my dearest of sweethearts. She's my little child.

So I feel for you, Gable, hun. Take as much time as you need. I'll be on Skype to talk if you need someone to talk to.
