Changing my fursona doesn't come without reasons or explanations. It started about seven years ago. My sister and I were doing an online roleplay, and we were rp-ing as guys. At that time, I chose a male name for myself. Why? I dunno. It felt more natural. But it took until the beginning of this year before I could admit to myself that I am happier as a male. I enjoy men's clothes, I enjoy it when I bind and look down and don't see giant breasts. I like being able to actually see my feet. And it just feels so much more natural to consider myself male.

With that, comes a new fursona. I never really fit into the fox role, but it was the closest I could come. But Cheetahs... since an early age, I've had feline related nicknames in some form or another. I tend to chirp when I hiccup, and a lot of the time it sounds like the sounds a Cheetah makes. I can growl, but I can't purr. And I've always loved looking at Cheetahs. Discovering the King Cheetah pretty much sealed the deal.

There's still a lot to do on this road to self-discovery. I've already burned bridges with it, and coming out to my family is going to be a nightmare. But at least in the furry community I have felt accepted, felt like I can be myself no matter who or what that is. Sorry for the long ramble. I just felt like an explanation was in order.
