U.S. Real life ... Super hero O.o??
No joke here. i have heard and watched this little thing a moment ago talking about some people who in real life dress up as super heros and try to 'fight crime' which strangely is becoming more popular in the US. now i imagine its not like your sterotypoed batman, captain america or such. just... real life superhero... that almost sounds like a bazziare(sp) case of oximorons(sp) in the work. o.o hinting more so towards moron but hey. so i want to ask a couple of questions about this to anyone who cares to answer.
1. have YOU heard about this?
2. What do you think about it?
3. would you join in? if so who or what ya be?
now before i'm asked i'll answer my own questions.
1. yup like 5 minutes ago.
2. i think its a neat idea as long as it doesn't go to far and someone doesn't either a. going mad (maybe with 'power') or b. gets harmed badly.
3. would i join... hmmm i feel like a 50/50 i would in a way to be nice and help people. and i wouldn't because i would be nervous of being under item b. where i'm hurt in a terrible way... that or see people laugh and harass me over it.
signed with love. (and curiousity)

It translates as "Husband / Master (of the household)"
My Fujin (roughly translates as 'Wife') called me that.. and Tribble is a holdover from my CB days LOOOOOONG time ago.
We always used it to mean "Master / Wife" because of the BDSM / kinky factor.....
I think only Fujin's mother might have known at all, really, since she was from Japan
Yes... yes we did.
2: Hmm...not sure but I guess it's alright as long as they don't hurt anyone physically or mentally...it just seems a bit odd....but it coming from a furry I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean an awful lot XD
3: No...somehow the idea of trying to play something you're not doesn't really seem like something I'd do...I'm a day-to-day superhero ^^
2 sounds funny. Could be good could be bad. I need more info.
3 maybe. I like helping people but it could be wayy to risky. Plus you will be arrested as a vigalantie
2. Depending on the "hero"'s aims...I think some may be just crazy (or stupid)
3. This summer I'll make a gauss nailgun then I'll think about that
BTW it's not the best thing to shoot people - it needs at least half a minute to reload X_X and if want to you make it charge faster - from a "cheap-thingie-anyone-can-make-at-home" it becomes something not so simple...
1. First time
2. lol
3. Mabye if I saw it in action, but would not do something like this I"am afraid, Mabye be a super villian!
2. I think it's fucking cool. When I was a kid and people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was "a superhero."
3. I think I'm too jaded and pissed at society now to join in. If I did I'd be afraid I'd go anti-hero, Punisher style.
2. Fusking idiots
3. yes I have. no suit, no armor. just right person right time.
2. I'd be worried about escalation, one of these hero's is gonna fall and when he does i'm not sure people would like living in an area with a super villan.
3. No, i'm not open eough with myself to go parading round like an idiot. though if i did it would be like a feline version of Wolverine =3
2. I'd laugh if it wasn't the stupidest thing I had ever heard of.
3. nope. I use guns, "Stupor herd-o's" don't use guns.
Vigilantes use guns.
Charles Bronson from Deathwish (1, 2, 3, and 4) was a Vigilante
The Pummeler... er, Punisher, was a Vigilante
The Purple Phantom was a Vigilante
Batman has not used guns since, like... his first season a LONG time ago. so he doesn't count
he's had all kinda of gadets that fire things, but not lead bullets at soft targets anymore.
superman is another issue.
he's not human.
The Dark Knight Returns he uses Rubber Bullets, and then synthetic Kryptonite (fired by a one armed bowman hanging upside down from a fire escape) to disable superman, but dies of a heart attack before he kills Clark.
but it's well worth the read for the story work alone. the art was... well, not the best I'd seen, but worked well for the time period it was writen
VERY worth reading if you have a chance to.
I ALMOST bought a copy in Borders Book And Music this weekend, but I got distracted by... um... ok, she WAS worth looking at, but that's besides the point.
Anyway, you can also find copies on Amazon or eBay too
