Happy New Year to everyone! Its 1:50 AM January 1st here in suburb of Raceview, Ipswich, Queenland, and i got home about 10 minutes ago after walking into the main party of the city of Ipswich to see the New Years fireworks. The fireworks display went for 10 minutes, ending at 12:10 AM midnight, a departing from the park area where they were being held. The display wasn't bad, certainly better then the last fireworks display I saw in Ipswich, which was about 5 or 6 years ago, before I moved to the Brisbane suburb of Inala.

The only complaint I have of the evebing was having to make a detour on the last leg of my trip home to avoid some unrurly driunks that had taken up a good portion of the sidewalk and even spread out onto the street itself. The detour adding 20 minutes onto my walktime to get home.
