My cat is slowly recovering.
It has been and still is a roller-coaster.
Times we have to check that he is eating and times to see if he is breathing and times he climbs into the bath tub.
Yesterday he tried to jump up onto the counter and fell - no injuries.
I hate when he just lys there for so long - cool and very shallow breathing
I have never seen it before.
But today he ate a bit of solids, moist cat food, on his own (along with the feeding with a syringe)
I stopped at the vet to fill him in and got some crystal disolving canned cat food (we were sent home with dry the last visit)
He is drinking lots of water and lots is comming out the other end.
Bit of blood from time to time.
Oh, and he even groomed himself a wee bit.
Oh, and actually peed in the litter once.
From what I am hearing we have to wait quite a while for him to recover. His heart beat is good.
I have so many towels that are going in and out of the wash - I like to put one over him because his temp seems cool - but he keeps on getting up and walking a couple steps to be rid of the towel.
We have been doing shifts of staying up with him - my turn.
My daughter is heading to a convention in Los Vegas tomorrow so we both are hoping he is stable by the time she leaves, but she will be checking in very often.
oh, I just posted my first Toonie - check it out
