How many active watchers do I have? HELLO out there! o.o

kwik ♔ King Cheetah of PoP! ♔ ~ Just curious since I've been posting a lot....
How many of my watchers are active or even see what I post?
As an artist, comments/feedback are important on posts because they give the artist a sense that they are either on the right track for their presentation, or the opposite. At least for me. I'm also talking more about comments from watchers versus comments from friends, I know most friends will automatically give their feedback.
I admit, it's a bit frustrating not gaining much input or thoughts from my viewers, it puts me in the dark, then I realized, I don't really have time to engage in everyone to let them get to know me a bit better as an artist. So what can I do to improve my relationship with my viewers? I am going to work on this more because it's making me crazy as I don't even know who is alive here and who isn't in terms of watchers XD
I have big plans soon to "wipe the slate" on this FA account and start over, because I need a fresh start here. Rather then leave FA all together, this is my plan, because I don't want to turn my tail and leave.
So questions:
1. What do you want to see me draw more of? produce? etc?
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
4. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
You can answer these honestly as I am good at accepting helpful critiques when I ask for them. You don't have to answer all of them XD Let me know you guys are here, and I will push to "wipe the slate" soon as I am done with these last commission pieces.
Thank you for reading! Much love! <3

1- I love ferals :3
2- yes I do!!! I love toon style x3
3- I love the concept but I think you can do both? :D
4- Give us food!!! XD *squishes you* :3 I would say keep being nice... It pays off eventually :3
I always try to be nice and courteous, until I have another reason to not be ;_; which is rare anyways lol!
2.) Your art style is perfect <3
3.) It would help (I think, cause i don't have money :P)
4.) Maybe do some TMI's or asks
Keep up the amazing work! /)///w///(\
1. What do you want to see me draw more of? produce? etc?
Personally I'm a sucker for traditional arts. I love your arts the way they are! But if I were to seem some more traditional pieces, that'd be cool.
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
I do like your style. I like how it's more of a fun cartoony style than realistic. I also like how the hands and feet of eat character seem to be on the larger side compared to the rest of the body.
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
That's a tough one. I say give it a go though and see how it works.
$. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
Hmmm. Maybe make your own little group of critters that isn't a dog or kitty? I see a lot of K9's and Kittys which is good (because there are a lot out there) and only lightly peppered with other species. Maybe show us hybrids and other species that you can "draw it all" by doing a group of different critters? IDK, just a suggestion but I know I would like to personally see more of the different critters :). I hope this helps a little :)
Thank you so much!
2. I watch artists for the style that they have. I love the fun toony style that you have.
3. This is definitely a good idea. Streams are fun in general and PWYW is a great idea to give everyone a chance at arts.
$. The streams will be helpful in this area and journals like these asking ideas from your watchers is also fantastic!
2. your styles really cute!
3. yes streams are very fun
$. probably try to interact more with your watchers!
Just wish that most commissions weren't all dogs n cats haha but going to fix for sure cause I feel a variety is indeed important and probably what I'm missing.
I totally want to get to know my watchers more and what they love to see in art, most definitely!
I enjoy most if not all of what you post.
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
I love your style. I can't really pin point why, but It is different and in a very good way. I just find it pleasing.
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
I can't answer this as I personally would be unable to participate in PWYW's or Commissions at this point and time.
$. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
Possibly more journals that engage the viewer? Like question journals.
Maybe even art that answered the most inspirational questions.
I'm watching, but I rarely have something to say.
let's see, your style is... *looks at all the cute* you make everything so adorable! ^^ i wouldn't change it at all. and I think more people respond to journals that pose questions to your watchers (specifically if that question is in the title of the journal like this one =3).
and keep up the good work! *gives cookie and goes back to watching from the shadows* ^_^
More feral and normal instead of chibi. :)
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
Your style is cute. Don't change unless YOU want to. Don't try to please everyone
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
Wouldn't know. Doesn't help me when I do it. I can't commission anyway xD
4. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
Honestly, I don't know. I tend to read certain journals that tend to be more personal and mostly comment on things I'd favorite and I'm picky. xD
Your style is very soft, its the only way I can describe it. Your color pallets and just your line work tend to give each image this almost child like feel which is very comforting and cute, even adult pieces tend to be more cute then sexy and I think it is a welcome change to what you see most often on FA
PWYW streams are great fun and would help up the amount of work you upload but I don't like it as an alternative to commissions, I don't expect to see a commissions level of care devoted to a pwyw piece and it would be a shame to water down your style by going for quantity
The last question is hard and I'm bad at questions like that ^^;
more of a passive watcher.
Lately I've been liking the different badge styles that you have been posting. I think I prefer posting commissions over streaming. With posted pics I can just look at them and be on my way. With streaming I have to actually spend time watching something, and who has time for that?
Honestly, I started watching you because I really like your KwiK fursuit, and just happened to like your art after the fact.
2. I do like your style! I can't personally say I would change anything about it, that's really more up to you and how you feel about it. x3
3. Both is good, give everyone a chance. ^^
4. Umm, maybe try making journals every now and then where people can tell you about themselves and you can just reply if you feel up to it?
Glad you like the idea~
Thanks for watching me all these years :D
But let's see if I can't give you some useful feedback:
1. Maybe it's nostalgia, but I think my favorite pieces of yours can be found in your scraps, like this page for example: http://www.furaffinity.net/scraps/kwik/6/ - I especially like your pencil and real media work, and the gay pride pieces were just adorable.
Otherwise feedback on your current work:
- You do a ton of work of other people's characters. This is awesome, but I feel like I'd like to see more characters unique to you, and in more interesting situations than dancing in-front of a blank background. I honestly would love to see something like a comic from you, something with a bit of story that shows off characters and gives them depth. It doesn't even need to be super detailed, black and white scribbles with dialogue would be a start.
- Regarding your style, as I said I loved your real media work, especially the crisp edge that your pencil drawings had. By the very nature of digital media that has been softened a bit, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it could be something you could try exploring more.
- Similarly to my comic suggestion, I think it would do you a lot of good as an artist if you worked a bit more on shading, especially with varying lighting environments, as well as more complex backgrounds to go with that. I might be jumping to conclusions, but it feels a little like you're avoiding working on backgrounds, etc. just considering how you seem to most often draw your characters in a blank space.
- On a completely selfish/personal level, I'd love to see more straight multiple-character work, but I don't mind either way.
2. Naturally! The way your characters look, like how their fur feels and their expressions, is very distinctly your style. However as I mentioned above, there are areas that I think could be improved without compromising that style, which would actually help enforce it.
3. I'd say, give it a test run; Announce it long enough in advance so that people will know to make time for it, and just see who shows up/is willing to pay.
4. I feel like I may be repeating myself, but doing something more story-oriented, or heck maybe even an ask blog would captivate and engage a wider audience. Seeing the tons of badges and YCH commissions are nice, but they don't really showcase your skills as an artist as much.
Thank you for your answers they help me a lot and even point out certain things even I know I want to work on ( like backgrounds more often ). I want to improve more on a lot of things and you clarified exactly most points that make me cringe at myself for not paying more attention to. Glad to have you comment here! :D
Whatever you feel comfortable with
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
Well, from your ID cards. I would say change nothing^^
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
Actually, I think that it might work along wiht the commissions
4. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
Hmm... maybe watch those that catch your eye?
your art is good, I love pics of cuddling (clean)
woof.
You're a fantastic artist and I love seeing all your work you post. My problem is mainly me! I am lazy when it comes to giving a comment on things, and thats pretty much it X3 It has absolutely nothing to do with your artwork. I enjoy it :)
To answer your questions though;
1. I agree with some of the people on here, ferals! I love the anthro's but ferals are probably a little closer to heart for me personally. I'd also maybe suggest posting a photo of your fursuits once in a while. You have amazing costumes and we don't get to see them often!
2. I LOVE your style! It's fantastic. I love how you colour and shade your pieces and the different line work thicknesses you use really adds that extra bit of uniqueness.
3. Personally for me this one is a no but that is probably only because my computer is so old I cannot join streams XD I'd love to get a commission from you at some point when my life is a little more settled and not so much up in the air XD
4. For me, I just do my best to reply to everyone and keep being friendly! A lot of big artists sometimes get snobby and ignore their watchers, which is understandable as if the artist gets a lot of attention, replying to everyone can sometimes be very time consuming, especially when you have a busy life outside FA, but it definitely helps keep the watchers interested in sticking around and continuing to reach out and spend time commenting on the artwork posted. Even if it's just a simple "thank you!".
I am pretty confident to say I have no enemies or haters on this website simply because I show friendliness back to the people who support me :)
I do understand that. I am often busy myself and can't post things regularly. Journals are a good way of communicating with watchers most of the time apart from those who have chose to nuke journal notifications (but I suppose that is there problem!) X3
1. What do you want to see me draw more of? produce? etc?
Hmmmm... There is a lack of muscle chicks. But other than stuff you've not drawn yet, I'd say I like your humorous works.
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
I dig it! So nice and kinda toony. Plus you're good at poses.
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
idk much about this kinda stuff. Probably why my sales are abysmal. :V
$. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
You, me, and a gang of backup dancers doing a fursuit MJ show at a con. I just did one that was 40 minutes long at Morphicon last weekend, and it actually went over pretty well. I know, it has nothing to do with the actual question, but if the opportunity comes, we should totally do that. :D
hah omg that would be an insane performance! I got plans though to bring mister kwik jackson back on stage... but thats all I'm sayin for now :D lol
Also, the new album... what a joke :( I dunno, it's not the same, its recycled.
It's only the first 2 songs of the show though since my friend's camera died. There were 8 songs. :C
good job on your first perfurmance, hope you dunked your head in a water bucket after geez!
I must say, that I do like it when an artist keeps all their work on an 'art' website.....You can go flip through all their older work and see how they have evolved and progressed through the years. That is my opinion.
Almost all of your artwork right now is devoted to commissions and things, but I can understand that. A gal's gotta eat. XD
I adored the spring large group ych and wished I could have bid on it. I would love to see more of those, with the same, fun and sexy slots in them!
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
I do enjoy your art style. I tend to watch artists who either have very gorgeous, realistic, and/or visually striking styles and ones who draw cute adorable critters. You fall under the second category. You're art is not overly cute fluff, but your style has the edge of cuteness.
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
I think perhaps a mixture of both would be good. Just be sure to not burn yourself out.
$. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
I try to talk to artists on occasions, but sometimes, I don't know if it's more of a bother. Try posting journals encouraging watchers to talk and engage with you. Come up with creative topics or funny things and share them! ^.^
I would love to see some work in progress pics :) But I think you do group pictures so well! You're able to mkae one character flow into the next without it loking totally awkwrd in any way!
2. Do you like my style? If so, what do you like.. if you don't, what can I change?
I LOVE your syle! Girl, it's seriously amazing. Not jsut saying that to make you feel good.
3. Would weekly streams of PWYW help instead of offering commissions for my work?
Unfortunately because of my career in live elevision it's hard for me to catch people's streams because I work from 5pm till 1am. But I would lov to see this,a dn then maybe some days I can actually catch it! :p
$. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
Honestly babe, I think you're doing an amazing job! :D Keep it up and I can't wait to see you at AC!!!!!
WOOOOT you be at AC! We dance! You have seriously grown in your performance, I saw your last dance and it was amazing! Your isolations, wow!
AWWW!! OMG You're too much!! haha! Thanks so much! Getting such a wonderful compliment from a top-class dancer as yourself just TOTALLY made my day!! Thank you!!!
I am not really into streams. I can't always tune in when one is going on!
And your art is great ! But don't forget about your fursuit! I would love to see more pix/videos of that.
Pawz up!
As for my fursuits, I wish I could take more pics but usually they sit in a closet till a convention, plus I need someone to take pics of me for it to work. I tried working a camera on my own with my huge paws, it wasn't easy haha
For awhile there I was scared it was all crickets chirping each time I posted art.
I'm not an artist so my comments would be fairly trite. "I like that" or "it's really nice" just sound so patronizing. I guess I'll be following you on Weasyl too.
If I did not like your style, then I would not have chosen and continue to watch you.
What I particularly like are the posters and covers you occasionally do. Things with more of a “story” to them than just a single character gyrating or twisting against a blank white background.
4. What else can I do to engage more with my viewers?
The answer to this, for some artists, is quite challenging. Any performer (and isn’t an artist also a performer?) has to know his/her audience BEFORE they step onto the stage.
They have to go outside of their own thoughts, their own concerns and their own problems to learn what experiences, memories and feelings that they have in common and share with their audience.
In effect, a performer has to seek out those things in the hearts and minds of their audience that will resonate when drawn, or sung in a song, or written down in a story. The stuff that makes a viewer, listener or reader sit up and respond with a “Yeah, I know exactly what that is like.”
#1. What do you want to see me draw more of? produce? etc?
Unless an artist is a commercial artist, or a “pet” artist, what comes out of his/her pencil or pen on paper can only come from inside them, their knowledge of what is inside their audience, and how they themselves feel about those thoughts and ideas. Art is in many ways, a life-long voyage of what we learn and know about others and ourselves.
