Yoooo ruin sentinals? If you're human you can summon a mace NPC nearby.

Stay on the ledge as long as you can to kill the first one, stay UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL, don't roll to dodge their attacks because they'll ALWAYS hit you. up against the enemy, then move to the side. The mage helps more at the end. Kill the first one, the second will jump to the ledge and get AS MANY ATTACKS IN AS YOU CAN

The third jumps too, THAT'S when you jump to the ground and finish the fight from there. The mage, if you're lucky, will kill at least one of those asshats for you or distract them.

Ok, there's a secret bonfire at the bottom of the staircase between the dogs and the dude kicking the barrel. That's the back entrance bonfire, you can easily run passed the enemies and up the ladder to go to the hallway. First few cells, ONE of them has an NPC summon.
