THIS. WAS. IT. This was the Godzilla remake we have been waiting for! After all these years of Godzilla, this was the proper remake we have always wanted. THIS. WAS. GODZILLA.

I won't dare spoil a thing. Godzilla is awesome, MUTO is awesome, the action is great, the acting is good, and all went perfect.

...I did miss the first ten minutes of the movie. CURSES! I bought my ticket in advance over two weeks ago and when I went to the theater, I found out that they were closed due to a broken water line outside nearby that I guess affected the plumbing for the building.
Got a refund, and then I raced to another theater because I was sure not gonna miss this momentous occasion.

And the audience... well, it wasn't that bad. I had a fear everyone was gonna laugh at this movie cause its Godzilla, since no one respects Godzilla. Well... people were giggling a bit at how people said "Good-zella!" as the Japanese do, and a bit of that...
BUT THEN THEY WERE CHEERING! People were legitimately rooting and cheering wildly for Godzilla as he was brawling with the MUTO and it was glorious. And when he used that breath weapon? PEOPLE ROARED WITH EXCITEMENT! I went "BOOYA! GO GODZILLA GO!" and everyone was going wild! It was amazing! That moment where it happened... I was so happy. It was. Was. Perfect.

I will certainly be seeing this movie again with family and friends.

Amazing night.
