I've been a fursuiter for over a year now. I got my fursuit at MWFF 2012 and wore it almost the whole time ^^
Why do you fursuit?
I fursuit to spread joy and happiness! Everything from the excited look on a child's face to a big comforting furry hug. The world needs more positive feels.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
The world is my stage! But formally, my preference has been stand up comedy. I've performed in the last two MWFF Furry Variety Shows.
Which convention is your favorite?
Midwest Furfest was my first convention in suit and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I really hope to be able to attend it in the future now that they moved the date.
Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
I had a cape made but it still needs some adjustments. I've also been known to wear a custom Carolina Panthers jersey that says Shadow on the back. I want to buy and wear ALL OF THE THINGS but I also hate covering my stripes, so it is an ongoing battle!

Why do you fursuit?
We love to fursuit because it's fun to be yourself, or sometimes to bring another character to life!
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
Sparkle: I dance (shuffle, hip-hop, and more) and roll around on the ground, publicly entertain people (non-furry events) and be mischievous!
Cirque: I love to juggle and hoop-dance! I am also learning contortion to do that in suit too!
Which convention is your favorite?
Sparkle: I love MidWest FurFest, because it's my vacation!
Cirque: I love Furry Weekend Atlanta, because it usually happens on my birthday!
Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
Sparkle: Nope, I like being naked!!
Cirque: My fur colors are my costume, it's all circus-y!
Are there any questions you would like me to add to this?
You should have people submit videos and do a journal with those videos so others can see true performance! (other then standing around and looking good, that is!)

Why do you fursuit?
Because I enjoy taking on another character. There is a wonderful thing that happens when you put on a fursuiter, you lose the human element that you are judged by usually. I love to make people look and think about things instead of just looking at the surface and assuming they understand the world by what media has told them. I do it to break the norm, to become something unconstrained and mostly undefined.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
I have done birthday parties, I have done local charity events, I have done street performance during music events and I have done some stage performance at local events.
Which convention is your favorite?
Anthrocon
Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
I do, my suits actually have several costumes that have been made to suit the suit. Luka my lioness has a tribal set of clothing, my Rio has a post apocalyptic outfit that even has a gas mask fitted to her face, she also has a rave outfit and a few others.
Are there any questions you would like me to add to this?
Probably things like "What got you into fursuiting." Also good performance videos would be great.

I've only been a fursuiter for about a year.
Why do you fursuit?
Because I love it! I love bringing a character to life and making other people smile!
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
At this point I've never done an actual performance, but I would love to be part of a skit or something one day!
Which convention is your favorite?
I may be a little biased since it's the only con I've been to, but I love AC!
Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
Nope, but I'm trying to think up something theme-related for AC this year.

Why do you fursuit?
For the sheer fun of it usually! There are actually a lot of reasons, all aforementioned by other suiters here. As such, simply it truly lets you be your character.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
I have performed mostly in front of cameras or at cons. I have been filmed for work in television, advertising and documentaries.
Which convention is your favorite?

Why do you fursuit? To bring joy to other's and just to have fun!
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit? I try to take pictures and be silly with friends- go to cons, and I'm going to start entering in dance competitions next year!

Why do you fursuit?
Because I love making people smile, and becoming a character that highlights and exaggerates aspects of my own personality (while allowing me to get over any self-consciousness) helps me to be the playful goofball that can do it. It's a chance to experiment with being a different person (critter?) all while making peoples' day better--what's not to love? :P
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
Mostly just shenanigans at local furmeets and cons, but I've also appeared at a local fall festival, an inter-office school spirit competition at the university I work for (and went to), and a Relay For Life earlier this year (that I plan on being a repeat offender at, heh). Nothing really formal, per se, but I am very interested in learning and doing more with fursuiting for charitable causes.
Which convention is your favorite?
I don't have very many to sample from (I've been to Furry Weekend Atlanta several times and Texas Furry Fiesta once), but of the two Furry Fiesta was my favorite. Something about the con just felt like it was more friendly, laid-back, and fun. I'm really looking forward to trying out FangCon in a few months!
Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
Normally Kaynus just wears a (bacon) scarf or casual clothing (as a partial), but for 2014's Furry Fiesta I finally took his bacon obsession to the next level and created his super hero alter-ego, The Baconizer! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12740324/

Why do you fursuit?
It gives me more of a chance to be myself, I love to make others laugh or smile when they see me as well & just becoming my character very carefree & energetic & danceaholic.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
I love to dance, act & just be silly in any way possible.
Which convention is your favorite?
MFF because it was my first convention I ever went to & the con that inspired me to become a furry.

I just wear my panda backpack for the most part & my multiple snapbacks if that counts lol.

Why do you fursuit?
Fursuiting is a way for me to bring back some magic into the lives of both children and adults by making them smile. It allows me to both have the confidence to do things I never thought I could and allows myself to embark on helping Charities make their events a little more unique.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
I have done a lot of Charity work involving Fundraising, working with sick kids, Performing in events like Dance competitions and hosting the Furnal Equinox Masquerade.
Which convention is your favorite?
I personally enjoy attending and working for Furnal Equinox. It is one of a very few conventions in Canada and the volunteers and attendees and very friendly and eager to help with events.
Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
I wear both my 2012 and 2013 FurFright Jersey, studded collar, LED collars, Sunglasses, Scarfs, suits and costumes themed for the convention or event.

Why do you fursuit?
For many reasons! To have fun, to spread smiles, to make myself and others happy, to spread joy, to give hugs, to perform, and many more reasons! Fursuiting is a HUGE passion, and a big part of my life.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
I fursuit out in public a lot at events. And I perform for the public quite often by becoming my character, who is a fun loving, hyper, and happy-waggly wolf! When at cons, I generally act the same, maybe just a little more silly cause im around other furries. When at a non-furry event I generally won't talk, but around other furs I give Kuhori her own voice!
Which convention is your favorite?

Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
I love dressing up my fursuit! I have a cosplay of "Bit Cloud" from Zoids currently, and am looking at commissioning a viking armor outfit to cosplay "Hiccup" from How to Train Your Dragon 2 with my fursuit as well! I also do dress her up in a "Suit and Tie"

Since AC 2011 - 4 years.
Why do you fursuit?
Mostly to have fun, be something/somebody else. I also do charity mascoting and parades.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
Mascot at charity events, some shenanigans in parades, and conventions.

Right now, Anthrocon. I plan on doing others.

None that are regular, mostly it's just what I come up with at the moment.

I started in April, 2012 and just dove right in. I had never seen a fursuiter in real life until I looked into a mirror.
Why do you fursuit?
Partly for the attention. Let's admit that straight up. However I also started fursuiting to demonstrate to my children to not be afraid of standing out. I also fursuit because it brings so much astonishment and happiness to the places I go. It enhances in a whacky, whimsical way the events and fundraisers that we attend in a positive way. I also feel completely relaxed and content when I'm Tycho Aussie - I get to live within the moment and not have to plan anything, It also gives my children (who are my handlers) a chance to be responsible for my well-being: I get to depend on them. That sort of experience is precious, as it helps them mature.
What kind of performing have you done in fursuit?
I've sung and danced in front of 2,000 mundanes at an outdoor concert, I have performed in retirement centers and senior centers. I've led the city parade multiple times, participated in a dog show as an official entry, helped raise money for leader dog and therapy dog foundations, done a couple of 5K races, and even mascotted for a small soccer tournament as part of a seismological school conference in the mountains of central Armenia.
Which convention is your favorite?
I've only ever been to three: MFF, the Great Lakes Fur con, and Motor City fur con. Each has been unique in it's atmosphere and vibe. I probably liked MFF and GLFC the best, for one was pretty big, and the other was small and intimate. Most of my fursuiting is in a public setting, and I'm pretty busy with work, school and family so I don't get out to the cons all that much.
Do you have any costumes that you like to wear in fursuit?
I have a santa hat which is now equipped with LED christmas lighting. I wear the hat at Christmas time, as past of my attire for the Williamston Christmas light parade. It's a requirement that all parade entries be lighted, and I positively glow for the crowds.
Anything else you would like to add?
Fursuiting has been an incredible experience! The first time I stepped into public in suit, the crowd was supposed to be small, like 600 people. The event was bigger than anyone expected, with over 2,000 people in attendance. The food sold out almost immediately and it turned into a block party. I was pretty scared but threw myself into the experience with lots of animation and it was a sensation. The TV station even filmed it and did a small feature on Tycho Aussie. What I want to add is that how people perceive your character when you step out in public is generally what you bring to it. If you put in the enthusiasm, kneel down and ask a child what their name is and get excited with your movements to show delight in simply being there, the public will respond in kind. You'll make it fun for them. I have so many times now, had a child approach me and say "I seen you last year! You were at the park! Can you jump like you did then? I want you to meet my dad!" Fursuiters can make a big impression. I want to see the fursuiters everywhere step out of the furry cons, and start entering into their own communities as freelance mascots, street performers, and volunteers. Use your artistry and imagination to enhance your local community and brighten your neighbor's day.
