they generally disapprove of the japanese breathing or having cellular activity

evidently are evolving into tyranids from starcraft
have three channels on tv broadcasting starcraft all day.

oh also you can kinda figure out the translators like bablefish if you input simple sentences into it translate to desired language and then translate back. if it makes sense then it should make sense on their end mostly.

Ah yes, translate backwards. Good tip. I kept it VERY simple and point form so it should have been able to handle it. Strange though that he has obviously received my messages but has never replied!

also remember that grammar is more than likely different and will make things a little stranger. like listening to yoda's sentence structure which in english sounds amusing but it how one puts a sentence together in say german or japanese

Who knows how restricted his net-access really is...? He also may not know babelfish even exists. It's main site is in English and since he's unlikely to be able to read it, even if he saw the site, he wouldn't know what it was for... It's a pity- his art shows an interesting design sensibility. I hope you'll be able to communicate with him. Me, I only know how to say "thank you" in Korean: Ham sahm ni dah (I write it phonetically, of course). Don't know how it's written, though.

Well I'm cutting and pasting into a note here. Had a thought earlier, I'll go through his Shouts and find someone who's using Korean, then see if they use english on their page.

Good idea- there's one about halfway down the current list of his shouts (I looked).

Grrrrr Bugger bugger bugger! Sorry but every time I do something wrong in a comment I curse the programmers of this site for not being able to put an edit, delete, or any other function in. No I don't know web lingos (much) but I know a bazillion other programming languages back to 6502 machine and before that, the 16K (yep, sixteen kilobytes) Pet with a tape drive, and any site that's able to do what I'm doing now (and um, editing submission data???) should be able to edit comments without breaking a sweat.

I'm glad to have you as a translator because you can be a bit of a buffer. If you sense he's not really into doing anything further I understand but if he does consider himself open for hire, if he's not busy, if he's up for a job as an artist I'd be happy and honored if he'd take it on. How does that sound?

I'm going to have to insist that you both have this with my thanks, one of my best if not the best pic I have (if there is such a thing I think this would be it). It's full-sized although a bit on the small size unfortunately due to cropping. It is however, a stunning shot and plenty good enough for excellent prints.

Yes definitely! Um, this would be something that I'd direct though. You see he's done me in such a dark style and although the art is great it's just not me. You understand of course, imagine Alex the Lion drawn in that style! No, it just doesn't fit with the Hat of Shame!
