With me I just don't like being around a lot of people. Which was part of the issue I had with going to something like AC. Along with I've had a handful of shitty experiences there that put me off as well. Though if I'm with people I know and I'm in a place like that it's not as bad.

Yeah I don't like being around a lot of people much either. It's like there's too much going on and then my brain overloads and I can't deal. So I totally know what you mean <3

I even don't like to go to small gatherings if I don't know a lot of the people there. Hell the first time I went to the DooDah Parade I started having a mini panic attack because it was around 25 people I didn't know in a small room.

By then, I had been going to cons since 2008. So I knew the ins and outs of conventions and what to expect. There are still times I go into the Zoo and slightly freak out because it's packed with people lol.

Aw man, you seem to navigate cons pretty well, so I never noticed. I can understand the wide open spaces thing, I must have at least a minor part of that phobia because there's been a bunch of times where I've turned a corner around a building and suddenly there was a huge open field or something, and I'd instantly feel a rush of fear and panic. BLEH.

You're always welcome to stick with me if it happens at a con. Unless you're in silent hill mode, in which you're still welcome but I might be terrified of *you*.

Hahaha yeah its taken years for me not to freak out at cons. At my first con, I was with my sister the entire time, so it wasnt too bad. What really helped was that I was around people who were very welcoming and nice. ;3 <3

I get scared of huge crowds too, they're loud and make you feel like your voice is drowned out :o
